*** Official #7 Texas (SAMSUBA) vs IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

Special teams

1) wtf happened to kicking it into the endzone?
Is shackford injured? He was high percentage touchback until the BYU game. Since = 0 tb
2) punt coverage was bad
Multiple big returns
3) punt return was bad
Noel fumbling
4) kicking game bad
Missed FG, that can happen. Blocked extra point not so much.

Despite all of that I'd say it was a 6 point swing overall. Missed Fg plus 3pt swing on the blocked XP

Noel has his eyes downfield on the catch every time.

It's a little weird how that kind of a thing is normal.

I was waiting also. We only had a couple, needed a few more. Every time I thought we might get a stop, TX made a play. Every time I thought we might get a big offensive play, TX made a stop. They were the better team.

Still we were close, just not close enough.
Yeah, I just can’t really find anything to complain about with this game. I thought the referees were fair, the guys played pretty well, and the coaches did a decent job. They’re just clearly a better team. Yet the talent gap wasn’t wide enough that it was nearly embarrassing. That says a ton in my opinion…especially considering how young we are and what the rankings say. We’re going to be really happy in the new Big 12.

You have to be a troll. This team started 1-2 and got substantially better throughout the year. It's mostly underclassmen. Our only upperclassmen rush was on a fake fg.

We lost key player positions to the gambling situation. Incredibly tough offseason... and still make a bowl!

This was a great coaching job to get to a bowl game.
Quit the troll bs, someone can have a different opinion and still bleed cardinal. We have had a really good season and credit to Campbell for opening up the O. But we didn't the first half of KU, and we lost. We could be better then we are this year. And quit using the gambling as a reason to make Campbell a saint, he is ultimately responsible for it.

Doesn’t every human (and almost every living thing) bleed cardinal?

... you don't think losing key starters effects the season? Or that a mostly freshman team making a bowl game isn't impressive?

I love the "hey man other people can have a different opinion!" And also "hey stop saying your opinion about a poster!"

People can have an opinion... but when it's that bad and not backed up in facts...and repeated several times there's reason to think he's a troll...or just plain dumb.

There is different opinion and then there is just stupid hyperbole.

At the end of the day we still win though, as we don't have to deal with them or their bulls*** anymore. I'm just glad it's finally over.

I just wish there as a way for the conference to ban them (and OU) from going to the conference title game since they are leaving after this year, but I'm sure they can't for legal reasons.

Basically tell them after they announced two years ago they were leaving "All right, go ahead, but in exchange you are barred from competing for the conference title in all sports, as you are unofficially no longer a member. The next one line would take your spot."

Similar to how UCLA took USC's spot in the Pac-12 title game vs Oregon several years ago, as USC was banned from postseason play (We could have had a 5 win team in the Rose Bowl).

So what you are saying is you agree with my premise unless you don't agree with the original post, and then you are right w/o a doubt? Gotcha.
