You know there is a new offensive coordinator right, and he is also brand new to play calling? I know there is the "Campbell runs the offense" crowd, but that's garbage. He definitely dictates the offensive philosophy, but Nate is running the show and is rapidly improving. A lot of it is the offensive line coaching seems to slowly be taking effect.I’ll admit I didn’t think Campbell was capable of turning the offense play calling around. The last 3 weeks have been much better. I’ve backed off the ledge but the improvement needs to be permanent and replicated throughout the season for me. A few good games will be for nothing if we regress to our old turtle offense.
bumpWe need a "Gunner and I were idiots, we were the only rot going on" tab.
I'll happily admit I was wrong, and I am loving this crow.We need a "Gunner and I were idiots, we were the only rot going on" tab.
For those still flogging, many of us are thrilled that CMC made the necessary adjustments to philosophy and coaching.
Things looked not just bleak, but ridiculous during the time this poll was started. ISU was being predictable and boring, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
Someone mentioned "hot seat" and that seemed to light a fire under Campbell. Not a lot different than those on here that could see the obvious problems, and lack of addressing them, game after game.
I'm thrilled at whatever transformation occurred. Happy for the players, fans, and staff.
People are allowed to complain. That's what message boards are for, the good and the bad.
I hope things continue, there are still a lot of victories left on the schedule.
Joefrog fired CMC in his world. Good example why you never put clowns in charge of making decisions. Lots of noise. Knee jerk reactions. Complete idiot.
Yeah.
That's what we were going on.
We wanted change, and Campbell didn't bring it.
Until people started calling him "Hot seat".
Then, after already losing the Iowa game, and surrendering recruiting in the state, and losing to a MAC team, then, finally, Campbell abandoned CampbellBall.
Check my posts.
I wanted change or firings, yes.
Campbell finishes this season, under these circumstances, at .500? I can be sold on keeping him.
Especially if one of those wins is against Texas.
I still want us to win out.
Justify or just a lie?For those still flogging, many of us are thrilled that CMC made the necessary adjustments to philosophy and coaching.

Campbell literally said he's gone from playing not to lose to playing to win. I think it's fair to credit the staff for changing their approach. And I think it was obvious when they switched. Yes the young players have also gotten better which helps with the continued improvement.Reading these threads I keep seeing comments from posters that wanted CMC gone now crediting the staff with finally opening the offense up. How they don't understand how limited the options become when the line is weak and everyone else is green I'll never understand.
Wow, amazing how dense some of you are. PLEASE PUT ME ON IGNORE. Obviously you feel they were playing not to lose by choice.Campbell literally said he's gone from playing not to lose to playing to win.
