Yes, I’m a homeowner. Most of the time they’ll quote an hourly rate.

I mean you get 10 1 star reviews for working slow and your business dries up. Seems fantastical that someone would purposefully milk one client at the expense of their prolonged livelihood. But Maybe people are going through years of training for that.

I've literally never received a quote that way. I always receive a total cost. I would contact someone else if I ever received that type of quote.

So you’ve never had repairs at your home? Large projects are always quoted for total price. Someone coming to fix your AC/Furnace is quoted at hourly rates

I've had both large and small projects and repairs and I've always gotten a total cost quote. I just had my A/C repaired this summer and received three different quotes and all we're for the total cost.

If I get it done in 5 and the job was bid for 6 do I get paid for 6 or does the company pocket that money? If your answer is the company gets it, you just don’t get it. If you let me keep the money and go home early, I’ll finish it in 4.

If I wfh.....means I just gained 2 hours to get my own personal **** done or browse CF!

It's a very Pollyanna view on corporations. My guess had been 19 yrs in the workforce....all at one place.
