Perhaps had something to do with why Bryson didn't get the call either as he has been playing fantastic golf lately. He's not liked by any other golfer. Kind of bad for team chemistry.

Might be. His play style, as long as he’s employing the “bomb-and-gouge” tactic, is always going to be a problem for him though, in my opinion. Doesn’t work well in foursomes, as an example, so limits his impact.Perhaps had something to do with why Bryson didn't get the call either as he has been playing fantastic golf lately.
Yeah, if you were to build a "future tour star", it would look a lot like Aberg.Might be. His play style, as long as he’s employing the “bomb-and-gouge” tactic, is always going to be a problem for him though, in my opinion. Doesn’t work well in foursomes, as an example, so limits his impact.
Looking at Europe, I’m excited to see Ludvig Åberg play. Kid is an absolute stud.
Agree with this. Europe has some hammers. I do always look at Rory as a wild card though. One of the best golfers on the planet, for sure, but pressure seems to mess with him a bit. Rahm and Viktor are still babies with this format also. Rahm was one of the few bright spots for Europe in 2021 though, and he has “bulldog” qualities. To my eye it sure looks like Europe should be the favorite. Home soil and probably 3 out of the top 4 golfers there (Rahm, Hovland, Rory). I suppose it all comes down to quality depth and US probably has a little more quality in the middle. But I could totally see a kid like Aberg playing lights out too.
Reed was a douche long before 2018In his first two Cups, he was 6-0-1. It went south on him his third go around (2018)…about the same time he started becoming a distraction.
Guy won the Masters in 2018, and quickly turned into a massive douche that nobody wanted to be around.
I watched a little snippet about Seve Ballesteros last night. It is incredible the impact he had for his playing partners throughout his Ryder Cup career. We all know about his partnership with Jose Maria Olazabel (the “Spanish Armada”), but he partnered with other guys nobody had heard of before or since who led Team Europe in points a few times. The power of a positive, invested and respected playing partner cannot be overstated.
He was for sure, but it was actually after the 2018 Ryder Cup where it really started to unravel. The whole Spieth thing, ******** at Furyk and actually demeaning Tiger to his face. Then the rules infractions started piling up. The sand trap issues were in 2019. Had another rules thing a couple years later, then the Brandle Chamblee stuff.Reed was a douche long before 2018

Keegan for sure but he wasn't part of the Fowler Thomas Speith club. Thomas and Speith do play well together however. Those latter three go on trips together.I like Europe here. I’d give us the edge but I think Zach Johnson royally screwed up the Captains picks.
Keegan Bradley and Cam Young should have been in this team rather than Thomas and Burns. I’ll eat my crow though if those two light it up
I’m rooting for the US obviously but I do like Rory a lot.
