***2023 Ryder Cup***

I woke up about 330 and started watching from the beginning so I'm about 2 hours behind but it's tough to imagine a worse start. Spraying stuff every where and nobody seems to be able to make a putt. It looks like a Saturday morning round of a boys golf weekend where everybody is hungover and one guy is over puking in the no mow.

Jeebus.

It's been brutal watching, but listening to "Zing" might have me drinking before breakfast. He can't mask his negativity.

What a bummer. My favorite golf event of the year and it’s most likely over before I wake up and start watching. Europe just plays this thing with more urgency every time. They play their best golfers in every session, while the US is concerned with everyone participating for some reason.

Annnnnnd it’s JT who gives the US its first lead. Yeah…4 matches are over and 4 matches are currently being played, with one through 6 holes, and the US has its first ******* lead in any match.

Hovland is about to take this point back.

So funny…. way to show up USA! Zach must have really had them fired up!
The whole thing all started pretty benign. Match 1 tied the first hole, and the US actually played the whole better, dang near winning it.

The US played the first hole better in match 2 also. Right up until Hovland chipped in to win the hole. That first session turned at that moment. Europe played with confidence and conviction. Body language was bad, immediately, for the US.

Hovland is making an impact all over the course, it seems.

And now Matt Fitzpatrick is unconscious with the flat stick.

This thing might be over before Day1 ends. I know that is not mathematically possible, but Europe seems intent on trying to prove math wrong.
