I like Campbell, but am so tired of him always harping on the ‘Young’ card. First thing he brought up in the presser. Nobody cares, just keep winning. Good job, now beat Iowa. No more talk about young players! Winning is all that matters!

Based on @besserheimerphat 's stats, I'm looking back and wishing we ran 45 touchdown plays.
Can they...do that?
Averaged 39 yards on punts last year. 54 today.
We were 100% in the red zone today and barely made 70% last season.
And most importantly, ZERO red zone turnovers, which as we all know Dekkers liked more than a five team parlay.
It's early, but these are the things you want to see for a team that lost a ton of one score games last year.
I just assumed they weren't throwing his waySIAP but was something up with TJ Tampa? Didn’t see him much out there
Yeah idk I remember seeing him out there and then all of a sudden I noticed he wasn’t out there for a while. Saw him on the sidelines but I wonder if maybe he got dinged up and they shut him down?I just assumed they weren't throwing his way
The WR production seemed as much about play calling than anything. We rarely even attempted anything down field. Everything that went Noel's way was at or behind the LOS. UNI packed everything in, and we didn't do much to challenge them deep, outside of a few plays. We were comfortably ahead for most of the game, so perhaps we were content to let it play out the way it did, but I'm not sure that the lack of production can really be blamed on the receivers.I'll take a 3 touchdown win over UNI. There were some real positives from the game:
Some concerns after game 1:
- Special teams. 2 nice punt returns, 56 yard fg and long punts that flipped the field.
- Brecht was solid. Got rid of ball quickly and didn't make mistakes. I feel like Brecht earned the right to get all QB snaps against Iowa.
- We have a solid group of TE's who each bring different skills.
- Our defense was disruptive - 5 QB sacks & 2 INT's. THAT ROUGHING CALL ON ELLIS WAS BS!! Bacon brought it!
Overall a nice start. Very much a work in progress. My hope this is a team that is light years better in November vs. today.
- Our run blocking was disappointing. Didn't see us creating holes.
- Production from our WR's was almost non-existent. We need to be able to stretch teams vertically.
- UNI was able to run on the edge.
- Thought our pass rush was effective, but guys seemed to get out of position at times. Against the Hawks we need to get QB pressure and keep QB in pocket. They love bootleg passes to TE's.
No, the team did, and it was awesome. The offense is a project. 30-0 lead is great and all, but don’t pretend it was the offense that did that.
The good news is the overthrows were early, and he hit the deep ball in stride in the third. Probably just too cautious in his first start. The tight ends are back!yeah kohl looked like a true freshman for sure. Rocco had a really good day overall. bummer to see the overthrows when a receiver blows by the coverage. gotta hit those. in a 3 score win, that is picking at nits obviously
