I've not seen any local sweet corn in CR area but I gotta think it is getting close.

Anyone getting it in their area?

A few stands open here in Central Iowa. Had some the other day that was maybe not as full as you'd like but still tasted good.

Drove by an old classmate that stocks most of north iowa grocery stores and he had the tractors in the field.

The people who sell Peaches and Cream have been in Ames at least for 2 weeks. It has been good.

The fruit and vegetable stand north of Ames had Grimes sweet corn on Sunday. And Missouri peaches which are outstanding.

I have been looking the past couple of Saturdays at our farmers market here in town, nothing so far, but hopefully tomorrow they will be there selling.

In the DM metro area there have been several places to get it since the first week in July. Sometimes they sell out fast though, I know both Deardorff and Grimes sweet corn stands that I follow on FB the first few days or so they were out pretty quick. The best sweetcorn usually is end of July I think. The early stuff just isn't as sweet and usually smaller too

what'd y'all know? knee high by the 4th of july! don't ya know? come on.
