Watching videos from Blinks first show back together last night at Coachella. Like watching your parents who divorced finally get back together and more in love than ever.
This is one of my favorite albums from a band no one has heard of. Back in 1979 a friend of mine gave me this Airborne album. Beau Hill was the band leader and is known for producing popular bands from the 80’s. I thought the guitars were sorta reminiscent of Barry Goudreau and Tom Schultz from Boston.
Now I'm going down the numetal rabbit hole. The bassist for Mudvayne is one of the best to ever do it
And while I mention great bassists, then I gotta listen to one from the best bassist ever
With Linkin Park releasing some tracks that they recorded but cut from the final track list for Meteora, I've been listening to LP a lot recently.
Been on a country kick for the first time since I was young in the 90's, probably because I have kids and can mostly trust the lyrics to be G rated. Going to Jordan Davis concert in DM in Sept. and then Tyler Hubbard at the State Fair. Would love to get a Morgan Wallen concert but those are going for $500 a piece, went to Nashville in March and every third song was a Wallen song any place you went.
Wish Tom wasn't such a *******...been some great songs from Angels and Airwaves, +44 and Boxcar Racer but they were the best together.

I kind of did a deep dive into Mark during his cancer battle. There’s a lot of depth to that dude that respect the hell out of.
I’m kind of glad they split so we could get the stuff from their side projects. Even Travis album that he did with a bunch of random 00s rappers is underrated. But their chemistry, especially live, is unmatched (and if you’ve seen them live, maybe it never should try to be).
