NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

I just saw on Twitter that Nick Athan has mentioned that Allan Lazard may be linked to interest in the Chiefs. I would love to see him in a Chiefs uniform.
Love it if the price is right but I could see the Chiefs rolling with the same WR core as last year.

Toney (Should be WR1)
JuJu (Attempt to bring back at team friendly, incentive based deal like last year)
MVS
Skyy
Healthy Justyn Ross (????)
Plus the TEs.

I would think Lazard would be a great addition, and not likely that expensive. Andy could design some seriously great plays by using AL in a three tight end set as a TE. Love him as a blocker and possession receiver.

A lot of what ifs, I suppose, but if Allen were to became a Chief, wow. I could roll with that too.

And Allen would have to like playing with the Chiefs, after playing with the Packers. Two of the best QB's there, in Rodgers and Mahomes!

I'd take either or both of DM or Lazzard on the Chiefs, both would be great fits in that offense. Lazzard may get more than you think as the WR free agent market is not very deep this year. Montgomery probably has better opportunity for playing time than the Chiefs but he and Pacheco would be a nice 1-2 punch.

That would be nice. I think David has a few more good years, I hope. He's still young, but you never know with RB's.

I would love to see Monty in Chiefs Red and Gold. What will he require in terms of a contract?
They aren't going to pay him ****. Thankfully Veach refuses to pay top $ to RB's. If he's looking for cash he's looking in the wrong place.

Yeah. That, and Mahomes contract, will likely prohibit any big name signing at RB, you're right. Not that Monty is a big name. He is to us, of course.

Not sure what role he would have. RB3 to make up for CEH and RoJo? Seems he will probably be too expensive for that role.

Go get paid elsewhere kid. This your only chance in career to make any money.
I doubt McKinnon will be back, he played well enough to get a bigger deal than the Chiefs will be willing to pay I bet. Jones won't be back and I'm not so what the future of CEH is as he can't stay healthy and when he is he's been really inconsistent. There is room for DM but I think he will get a bigger deal and role with another team. Chiefs will likely be in the market to add a backup RB but Pacheco is the clear RB1 now.

I’d place pretty good bet McKinnon is one of top FA priorities for chiefs. Would be shocked if he is not back. Won’t be a bidding war for an older oft injured RB. He just fits a perfect role for Kc.

Idk why, but my dad has asked me multiple times who I think will be the Chiefs back-up QB in 2023.

What are your thoughts?

My guess is Shane Buechele.

Ouch. I guess trust in Veach, but interesting to let both our tackles go.
Wylie was serviceable, but replaceable. They might still be working on a deal with Brown, but bidding against other teams probably means he's gone, too.

Edit - Welp, nevermind. With the Taylor signing, Brown is gone.
