Not to mention that Thuney and Humphrey are due contracts after next season. There might not be enough money left to pay big money for Brown. That said, Brown played well this year, especially in the second half of the season. Some team is going to pay him, and I can't fault him for wanting to maximize his contract.I believe that Brown wasn't going to be happy under the tag and wanted a long term deal. Maybe he would sit out. I think he is a good player, but I also don't feel he is worth the amount of money he is wanting. If I am going to pay that kind of money for a LT I would want something more.
I thought Kelce did a good job. Better than their normal skits for what that’s worth.
Not sure they can afford to offer that now, or even if they want to. They'll convert some of Mahomes salary to a bonus and gain some room, and there are a few other moves to make, but signing Brown to a $20 million per year deal would limit their ability to do much else.I say offer him a similar deal as last year. If he doesn't want it, walk and find a replacement.

There's some money right there. He was going to cost $21 million against the cap.Figured this was coming.
Still going to be around $7-8 million in dead cap. KC probably offered a bit of new money and a 2-3 year deal to reduce this year's hit, but he clearly he wanted more. There's some money right there. He was going to cost $21 million against the cap.
Sorry, I misspoke. Clark was going to cost around $28 million against the cap. Cutting him frees up $21 million in cap room to go along with the $7 million in dead moneyStill going to be around $7-8 million in dead cap. yeah I have seen him mentioned as a possible addition if they don't bring JuJu back.I just saw on Twitter that Nick Athan has mentioned that Allan Lazard may be linked to interest in the Chiefs. I would love to see him in a Chiefs uniform.
