The only problem with that is that the Pac hasn’t really made any inroads with traditional tv service where markets could still matter. So far the only discussion I have really heard of have been with Amazon and other streamers.

Miami will go to the SEC, and VT will go to the Big 10. I think VT was on the Big 10 short list when Maryland and Rutgers were added.
VT was never on any list. Virginia was (which I didn’t 100% agree with) but VT wasn’t, now that they are a dumpster fire I can’t think of any other P5 conference that would want them.
The only reason they'd come to the B12 in the first place is because they're looking out for themselves. But if they didn't get their way in the B12, where could they threaten to go? Everywhere that would be better hasn't offered an invitation and knows they could at any time. Everywhere else would be a step down. It'd be in their best interest to get along until they get that B10/SEC invite, if it ever happens.
I would guess Yormark has a priority list for both PAC now and ACC future (leftovers in ACC case) and a pretty good idea of who he wants based on going to 16, 20, or 24 total teams.
For example, if he never wants more than 16, he prob would just take 2 PACs, and wait on 2 ACCs. But if he wants 20, then 4 of each. For 24, you need 12 more total, and I don't know if the "last 4 in" would be worth it - you're talking Cal, BC, GT types.
Predicting the future for the 100th time... 4 from the PAC (prob the M4 because B1G will somehow take UW/UO) and 4 from the ACC. 20 teams total from east coast to the desert southwest.

UVa is a big public AAU school, I think they'd be good fit for B1G - just in terms of academics, culture, prestige, etc. I mean, aren't they basically Michigan, except without the football glory?

Perfect analogy and yep I agree they fit in well with the big ten’s ideals. Just wish they had a halfway decent football team. Or their basketball team didn’t play a style that makes my eyes bleed

GT gets mentioned a lot but they have completely abandoned their athletic programs and don’t really have much sway in the state with Georgia's dominance now. Would have been a much better fit a decade ago.
Truth. Michigan has been pushing hard to make Rutgers a protected rival moving forward which the fan base has gleefully bought into and I kinda love
Pretty much, same with UNC. All top-5 public universities. The "Public Ivies".

God I hate that public ivy term I heard it non stop on campus usually from bitter people that didn’t get into an ivy.
It doesn't make any sense that the PAC is blaming the B12 for setting a ceiling on the rights deal. If the B12 sold low, it should be any problem for the PAC to exceed it which is all they need to do to keep all their members happy enough to stick around.
If I am the Big12 I would 100% add those 6 Pac 12 schools.
I would go with 3 scheduling pods (Play 5 teams every year & then rotate other 12 over a 3 year cycle.
- UA, ASU, BYU, UU, OR, UW
- ISU, KU, KSU, CU, OSU, (TT or TCU)
- WVU, UCF, UC, UH, BU, (TT or TCU)
