49ers - Brock Purdy - Still and Always #1

I feel like she was getting touchy with him too. Grabbing him when he came over.
Getting touchy? She looked at him and Said, "Feel's Great Baby." (Granted, it was in the context of winning the West, but honestly, I think she used that as an excuse.) and ran her hand from his shoulder down to his elbow, just staring at him the whole time. She definitely has a thing for him.

Let's say this, if it were reversed and that was some dude announcer and he did that tomy daughter after she just won a big basketball game, he'd be in a lot of trouble.

SF doesn't need Brady, or whatever contract he would require.
If Brady gives them the home town discount on a one or two year deal, they’ll at least listen.

Their window is right now. QB aside it is the best, most complete roster in the league, and it isn’t all that close. If Brady would go there on the cheap, they might do it. Lance has not played all that much football period, so he is a massive unknown. It really would hinge on Brock. If he keeps this up, then you’re right, they probably would prefer to roll with Brock/ Lance and spend cap on their other upcoming FAs. But they could also bring in Brady for a year to push for a SB, let the young guys learn from him, then have Brock and Lance compete for the job. Frankly, as it stands now they are on track to have a cheap deal with Lance when his rookie deal runs out. Then they will still have Brock on the cheap.

I think it’s 90% that they will spend elsewhere and let Brock and Lance compete for a spot. I think Brady is that other 10%.

Tony Gonzalez also seemed to have trouble getting a word in. Wouldn’t mind listening more to him. Never could stand Sherman so the whole telecast was too much of him for me.

Has to be bizarre for Brock, going from Soener, Allen, and Kolar to Kittle. I think their personalities were more in line with Brock.

Brock is also very religious. Will see in time if the talking heads try to tune him out like they did Warner because of that.
There was a noticeable "....ANYWAY" transition after one of Brock's answers which ended in him giving glory to God. With a quick transition back to Kittle.

Okay, this is what I'd like to see. Brock keeps this thing rolling. 49ners decide too much is invested in Lance to not run with him. The Packers say, Rodgers, you are nasty expensive and we are tired of you. They trade Rodgers, use the freed up cash to bring in a couple solid receivers or TEs and trade for Brock. Love is not even as polished as Brock right now and he's in his third for fourth year. I know its wishful thinking, but I would enjoy it.
We have little sample size of trey lance but feel Brock is so much better than him. Lance somehow was a first rounder starting 13 games at the FCS level, which is just stunningly stupid

You see Brock's pocket presence? Deftly steps away from the pressure of the Cougar pulling the stool out for him and finds his spot next to Fitz?

That's something you see out of a 10 year vet.

The Brady ship sailed for them 2 years ago. Have you seen him play this year? He stayed a year too long. He's terrible and is missing alot of throws now that he's normally made.

They would be better off rolling with Brock or Lance next year than going down that road.

One of the biggest things that's come out of Purdy mania is how likeable Kittle is. The dude is a kid in the candy store dominating a game he loves all while supporting his teammates like crazy. If the Chiefs meet the 9er's in the Superbowl I'll be rooting for a shootout that leads to 1 team going for a 2 point conversion with no time left on the clock to decide the game.

What else are they supposed to do? It's fine that Brock wants to express his faith, but I don't think there are a lot of fans that are interested in follow up questions about that in a post game interview.

I think the Niners is the best situation for Brock, or most QBs for that matter. It’s going to be a QB competition next season between Lance and Brock. Lance not played much football. He’s a huge unknown.

The wrench in all of it would be if Brady decides he wants to wrap up his career in SF.

Sometimes a players gets hot, takes the payday, and doesn't do anything at the new team and is out of the league quickly. If Brock wants a long NFL career he may be wise to forgo the big payday and go to some really crappy team to stay in SF with a good organization, staff, and players.

I'm not saying they need to ask a follow-up, just that I noticed that they got awkward. (just rewatched and it wasn't as pronounced as it sounded last night)

That seems silly. Some players never even get one big payday. Almost every franchise has proven they can turn it around with the right coach and FO guys. Assuming SF does not keep him around in 3 years, it would be dumb of him not to go to the highest bidder. Plus, if he hits it big and fails, he still can fall back into serviceable back territory and play plenty of years.

I got a Joe Montana ad for this YouTube video. No coincidence.

He reminds me of the Erlich Bachman character in Silicon Valley HBO show. Like if that guy lost some weight and hit the gym.

Too bad Nate Stanley couldn't change his throwing motion....

I’m a bit of an NBA nut and especially for our guys…
- Monte’s shot didn’t scream that he needed to change it but he did and his 3pt shooting definitely improved
- Georges was always accurate but his shot is now LIGHT SPEED fast, he’s around 15th in NBA in 3pt % typically but I bet he is also top ten in speed to get the shot off, it’s like he barely touches it
- Halliburton had the shot that seemed to need the most work…but he didn’t change it…and he’s an elite shooter, #3 in NBA mid range shooter (steph and Harden), last year #11 in 3pt% but down a little this year because of volume, still elite

Who knows when guys change this stuff or not.

There’s an AMAZING Iowa Everywhere podcast everybody should listen to of Sage and Brock’s throwing coach who has also coached Dekkers.
