Definitely. At minimum, I think he has earned a roster spot for a few years. If he finds a way to continue this through the playoffs (even with a rough game or two), who knows? He'll be a hot property.

Okay, this is what I'd like to see. Brock keeps this thing rolling. 49ners decide too much is invested in Lance to not run with him. The Packers say, Rodgers, you are nasty expensive and we are tired of you. They trade Rodgers, use the freed up cash to bring in a couple solid receivers or TEs and trade for Brock. Love is not even as polished as Brock right now and he's in his third for fourth year. I know its wishful thinking, but I would enjoy it.

Glad they have 10 days off so Brock can get healthier. It’s simple one game at a time, prepare, prepare, prepare. Keep having fun out there Brock and keep being humble. That interview was awesome two guys with some history before the NFL giving each other some friendly jabs, but then praises too. The chemistry on that team looks great right now.

They will get the 2 seed and they don’t need to go undefeated to do it. Two straight playoff home games at minimum. The Vikings will epically implode, guaranteed, and the niners will pass them. And I say that as a Viking fan.

No kidding. So what if the 49ers changed his mechanics and throwing motion? Honestly that’s not a big thing. Buffalo did the same with Josh Allen. Besides the NFL is a very different game. What a QB is asked to do in college may not translate to the NFL. His mechanics served him well in college, but it was the leadership skills and football smarts that he really developed that are serving him well now. Mechanics can be fixed if someone is coachable.

Heineke was frankly a nobody and showed flashes last year for the Commandos. They traded for Wentz, and he had a quote early in season basically to the tune of, “I’m going to do my best, support the team, and they’re paying him $20MM so I know how this all works.” Now he’s the guy.

I’ve never been sold on the hype around Lance. He was great at NDSU, but he’s played very little football since 2019. He sat out 2020. He’s played in 8 football (college and pro, minus preseason) since the 2020 season. Compare that to Brock who has played in 31 since then.

In fact, Lance has played in 27 total games since 2018. Brock has played in 54 over that same time period… and Brock played against much better competition.

I think the Niners is the best situation for Brock, or most QBs for that matter. It’s going to be a QB competition next season between Lance and Brock. Lance not played much football. He’s a huge unknown.

The wrench in all of it would be if Brady decides he wants to wrap up his career in SF.

And they'll finish no worse than the 3 seed. No reason to reason to go all out when they'll already avoid the Eagles for as long as possible. Plus a potential road playoff game in Minn isn't the worst thing.

I said it earlier in the thread that I think the kid is a stellar athlete but that doesn't mean he's going to be a great QB. Look at how many busts there have been since Michael Vick looking for another qb who is an athlete like Michael Vick. Mahomes might be the closest and I'd say he's not the athlete Vick was but he's a way better QB.

I don't think Brady even wants to finish this season let alone play another. Every week I see him the more I see a guy who realizes that it was a mistake to come back.

100% this. Purdy is still doing Purdy things. 1-2 bad reads per game, occasionally underthrowing deeper passes and doing his back-foot/fade-away pass thing. What he's not doing is pressing on every single possession trying to do too much (ending in many more turnovers). It's amazing to watch. From my eyeballs, I'm seeing very much the same guy, but surrounded with a much better cast and dare I say much better play calling?

The sequence later in the game where they ran CMC twice off the right side and then snuck out their backup TE for a 26 yard catch was a thing of play calling beauty. Now in order for that to work you have to have an offensive line, but still that's the kind of thing I wish we had seen with Breece and Kolar/Allen in 2021.

I'd say low. 9ners would need to free up a lot of money to get either.

That would not make a lot of sense but I guess it’s possible. Brady is finally showing his age. And Rodgers is expensive as hell. They will have other pieces To replace off this roster that they will need to allocate dollars for. Wrapping them up in Rodgers…. Lynch is too smart to do that.

He shouldn't be, not as much as Brady but he can see washed up from where he's standing.
