If he continues this he has to start next season right?
I had always hoped he would last 3-4 years in the league, make some decent coin - he has blown the doors off everything I thought he could do.
If he continues this kind of play absolutely. So the 49ers would have a bit decision to make on whether to trade Jimmy G or Lance.
They have too much invested in Lance to not at least have a QB competition going into next season. But at the same time Purdy has looked better the last 3 weeks than Lance ever has in the NFL. TBF Lance never had McCaffrey in the backfield either.
About the only way I would see Brock being named the starter without a competition is if he continues to improve and wins the Super Bowl.
Jimmy is a free agent next year, he won’t be back under any circumstances.
Even if Purdy continues to improve and doesn’t win the super bowl, I think there’s a good chance he starts next season. The fan base is 100% all in on him right now. They would have KS’s head if he chose Lance over Purdy. That is IF Brock continues to improve and play well this year.
It’s his world. We’re all just living in it.

The exposure ISU is getting through all of this is just killing them.
His days of sitting on the bench are over. He’s already a borderline top ten QB in the league.
Yep, it’s really history repeating itself like it did with Brady. There’s so many similarities between the two.
There is a generation of Hawkeye fans just wired different. They absolutely get triggered by any national ISU attention and quickly rush to downplay or diminish even if their Hawkeyes are not involved in any way. It’s quite sad actually.
