When You Win PB or Mega Lottey

Winning ticket sold in State Center, IA at the Casey's to someone on their way home from an ISU FB game ;)

I feel like Tennessee man that lives in his mom’s trailer that sent him out for a pack of smokes and tipped him $2 and they didn’t have any fruit pies so he bought a single ticket is the story one needs to win the jackpot.

Or an 85 year old great grandma from Florida.

Nobody won again? It already was the largest ever right and now it will keep growing?

This sucks, I’ve been wasting too much money on this since it got up to $600m, and obviously I have to keep doing it until someone wins. Hopefully this is over by Monday.

Jackpot going to 1.9 billion.

That's insane. It's to the point that it's too much money, especially in states that you can't claim anonymously. That's something like $665m after taxes. I'd be paranoid about security for me and my family if I won that much.

When I buy the tickets, we at least win enough to get the next couple of tickets free. When husband buys them, we never win anything. He thought buying them from the kid with green hair at Casey’s was gonna be lucky because one of his tickets was only one number off on the Powerball number.

I’m finally going to buy a ticket and waste a couple bucks. Just because if I find out someone won it out of the gas station I normally go to, I would be pissed I didn’t try.

At this point I would probably say they should just cap it at 1 billion and when someone wins, have another 1 billion winner.

If you know there is going to be only one winner, you could buy all 292 million combinations for 584 million and still have a couple hundred million left after taxes. If I somehow managed to pull that off, there would be like 3-4 winners and I would be upside down.

I honestly don’t even look. I just listen if there was a big winner where I bought the ticket and when I hear there wasn’t, toss them.
