That’s why the Elam ending is great too because it’s aimed at cutting down the fouling to extend the game.
Elam ending is weird to me and this I know is a me issue, because it does make sense. I don't like change like the DH in the NL but I will/would get used to it.
It takes getting used to but it’s definitely a unique way to further punish teams who are fouling late in the game to extend the game.
If teams play defense it could take awhile. I'd like to see something changed though.
Don't get me wrong, dumb for him to care. But this kind of thing is just garbage IMO.

I don't care about the results in high school basketball games, so this is just ridiculous to me. I get that it's within the rules, but anyone who says "Just go get a 5 count!" genuinely must not have any idea how difficult that would actually be. Sure, you may eventually force a turnover, I guess. But if someone's response to this isn't just that the shot clock exists for a lot of very good reasons, I think they're misguided.
Having watched it in a few different things like the TMT, it is so fun. Every game having a game winning shot is really cool, and it makes the fouling to extend the game a death sentence, unless a guy is like shooting below 30%.
Totally get that it will never actually be implemented in "official" competitive play, but I am a fan for sure.
I’m a fan of it because it eliminates stalling on offense and defense and forces action because you have to hit a score.
I wonder how TV timeouts would work with it.

That's just one of the many factors that make it unlikely to ever be in the college or professional game IMO. Although if the networks wanted it bad enough, who knows.

I'll throw the coach who isn't having their team pressure the ball in as garbage too LMAO. From reading further, sounds like both coaches were trying to prove a petty point to each other and using their teams to do it. Garbage all around.
The format goes into effect at the first dead ball under 4:00 -- which is the normal final media timeout -- so it wouldn't be an issue.
Still trying to convince people that Iowa was at minimum a sweet 16 team, regardless what the results say.
I read where Quinn said we would run through a brick wall for his coaches. Well from his tweet here about stalling, the coaches are about as smart as a brick.
