I have no idea. They should've been pressing, or trapping or something. Maybe they really sucked at D? Still, don't stall an entire quarter. Bush league. If Madrid did it the game before, then they are bush league too. Thank God they are getting a shot clock next year.

I'd never heard of either of these radio dudes. Looked the kid up, out of curiosity generated by this thread and found "I am a lifelong Hawkeye fan an [sic] going to the University of Iowa has been my dream since the time I was 5 years old and some of my greatest memories have involved the Iowa Hawkeyes!" I have a couple of family members who graduated from the Carver College of Medicine at Iowa. They dreamed of being doctors.

Most people can't wait to get out of high school and leave. Quinn on the other hand.....

It’s also smart and within the rules for basketball teams to intentionally break the rules (foul) when they’re behind in order to stop the clock and get the ball back after free throws. No one is saying it’s “inexcusable“ or “cheating the game of basketball” - it’s a strategy available in the way the game is played. So is stalling, if there’s no shot clock.

What a whiner.

So Richmond knew what Iowa wanted to do, and didn't allow Iowa to do that, and then Providence didn't let Richmond dictate things.

That's like the Bucky fan today telling me that UW should have never even been behind in the ISU game.
 
Chad wants to save the "1 bid league conferences" to play on Selection Sunday because they are going to be the 15 seed anyway.

Local radio sponsorships dropped off the table two years ago with COVID closing a lot of businesses. KGYM stayed with their high-school sports coverage in 2020-21 but I bet they made very little money with it. They were already considering getting out of local coverage in 2020, and I’m guessing their balance sheet made the decision easier for them after that season.
