Down goes Iowa

I keep seeing references to Bohannon being involved in a "twitter war" in the week leading up to the NCAAs (last week). I'm not on twitter. Can anyone shed some light on what that was all about? Thanks.
Jorbo, as well as CMac for that matter, would do well to heed the words of people much wiser than they:

I'm sure it was a vigorous intelligent discussion.

I think it was JBO dunking on people who sent him mean DMs after they won the conference tournament championship. He tweeted screenshots of their DMs. Not much of a “war”

Lol. This is some good stuff. The poster who created this poll is an insufferable sunshine pumper, who basically shouts down anyone who doesn't agree with his POV. I love seeing all of their expectations destroyed and the Cyclones achieve what they assumed would be theirs. It's just so amazing. One of the most enjoyable weekends I've had in a while

Franisdaman is delusional about their basketball program lol

I'm not sure if it was him or not, but it astonishes me that there are still hawk fans who will defend how much Connor McCaffrey plays. It's not all of their fans, to be sure, but it's enough of them that I wonder if they're not watching the same game that the rest of us are.

I think Keegan Murray said something about how Jorbo and Connor will long be remembered for their contributions to Iowa basketball.

Jorbo, I get. He wasn't particularly good, but he accumulated a lot of stats, at least. But what did Connor ever do? His career stat line averaged 4 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in 21 minutes per game. I don't understand how anyone could justify the amount of playing time he received during his career, let alone try to make the statement that his accomplishments were worthy of remembering for longer than about 10 minutes

Sportsmanship awards are important.

Providence at 2.3% vs. Iowa at 93.2%
ISU and Miami at 8.0% total in the "other" category.

Fair to assume there's a lot of ripped up brackets in Iowa fans' trash cans.

Little Lick did this in about 8mpg. I'm not kidding when I say that I think they were comparable in talent.

There were at least 3 Iowa fans in the Connor McCaffery Appreciation Thread on here that were arguing with me and others about Connor. This was when Connor had a “career” night in a loss to a ****** Penn State team by making 3 threes.

Anyone that isn’t completely blinded by their fandom knows Connor is not a P5 basketball player and would struggle to see playing time at most mid-majors. The Iowa fans that are brainwashed by Fran love Connor, thinks he’s a clean player, and would love to have him back for another year.

Does anyone else think this is strange? I know Kenyon has been on that site forever but posts like this are just cringey to me.

Between Jorbo, the McCaffrey family, and the helicopter dads of Garza and Kenyon the last 2 years, it really doesn't take much to figure out why that program is a dysfunctional **** show and why Fran can't get any decent transfers to go there. What a freaking circus.

I think it's cringy that Fran hasn't played both of them more minutes at various times the past two seasons.

WTF is the guy thinking?

Credit him for signing them under the radar, but the guy struck gold and is trotting his own kids out for similar minutes last year and this year. I'd be furious if I were more of an Iowa fan, even kind of supporting for them it makes me frustrated.

Keegan could have been this good by late last year if Fran had played him more and and been more creative with lineups, focused less on feeding Garza. Kris should have nearly twice the career minutes he has by now. Keegan was top 10 in a bunch of Big Ten stats only getting 18 minutes as a freshman.
You nailed it. I was having this conversation with my son this morning. Patrick is a good player but he and Connor got way too many of Keegan’s minutes last year. And some of Kris’. When you get matched up against an athletic team like Oregon you have to put your best athletes on the floor. Instead JBo, Frederick and Connor combined for 0 points.

It’s hilarious those losers forgot we blew them out, beat Creighton at Creighton and were a missed goal tending call from winning @KU.

What a fantasy land. Give Fran a lifetime contract.

It's the trashy Walmart version of the good ol' boys thing you see with the 'Michigan Man' thing af UM.

There's a large segment of the Hok population who defend those seen as one of their own. With a particular emphasis on bball players and skill position players who let's say "don't get much sun" to hold their own on the bball court/fball field.

They literally debate that issue purely from that standpoint on HR. It's the least shocking thing ever.

There’s an Iowa fan on Twitter still arguing in Chris Hassle’s mentions I believe, that he’d rather have Iowa’s season than Iowa State’s..

A three way tie for 4th in a really down Big Ten is nothing to sneeze at.
Yeah the guy said he'd rather have a Big 10 Tournament Title than a Sweet 16 appearance, and his main argument was because you get a ring for winning the Big 10 Tournament lol. I guess he doesn't realize our guys will get a ring for whatever round they end up going to.
