Down goes Iowa

Iowa’s women could be unstoppable if they ran through the monster girl inside, luckily Chucklin Clark will never let that happen and their ceiling will be the Sweet 16 because she will shoot them out of a game somewhere in there.

Part of their problem is the same thing it was for their men's team with Garza. They rely on 1 player, instead of using a team approach. In the regular season, that's going to work fine. Get into the tournament, an opposing team is going to challenge someone other than Clark or Garza to step up. But Bluder and Fran never pick up on that.

I think Fran tries to involve everyone around their studs....they just don't have the players.

Does anyone else think this is strange? I know Kenyon has been on that site forever but posts like this are just cringey to me.

It is very strange. He's getting a message out to a tiny sliver of a fanbase trying to redirect a narrative that is going to happen whether he likes it or not. It's also not that big of a deal. They're twin brothers playing on the same team with one being a lottery pick. Of course people will compare. His family is in the limelight. He can't control what others say or do, and it certainly won't be accomplished on a message board.

That being said, I have no idea what it would be like to have my son the subject of a ton of message board/social media chatter. I'm not sure I would handle it well either if he were to get criticized. It's an unfortunate part of today's world. His sons also have opportunities and experiences that not a lot of other people get, so there is a lot of good that comes with the bad.

Cringey? Try this one on for size:

Being a selfish teammate has made her a boat load of money. Assume the player transferred to Creighton so she might actually get to shoot once in a while.

Lol. This is some good stuff. The poster who created this poll is an insufferable sunshine pumper, who basically shouts down anyone who doesn't agree with his POV. I love seeing all of their expectations destroyed and the Cyclones achieve what they assumed would be theirs. It's just so amazing. One of the most enjoyable weekends I've had in a while

Nah, most of her buckets are from Clark drawing the double team and her getting high quality looks. Put her on this team without Clark and she would be average at best.

I think it's cringy that Fran hasn't played both of them more minutes at various times the past two seasons.

WTF is the guy thinking?

Credit him for signing them under the radar, but the guy struck gold and is trotting his own kids out for similar minutes last year and this year. I'd be furious if I were more of an Iowa fan, even kind of supporting for them it makes me frustrated.

Keegan could have been this good by late last year if Fran had played him more and and been more creative with lineups, focused less on feeding Garza. Kris should have nearly twice the career minutes he has by now. Keegan was top 10 in a bunch of Big Ten stats only getting 18 minutes as a freshman.

I keep seeing references to Bohannon being involved in a "twitter war" in the week leading up to the NCAAs (last week). I'm not on twitter. Can anyone shed some light on what that was all about? Thanks.
