Yes, out of the 67 other teams in the tournament, it just happened to be only their 2nd round opponent, 25th-ranked Oregon, that was "a bad matchup." As if they would've had no problem with the other 23 teams ranked above the Ducks.
Between the injuries disclosures afterwards and the bad matchup, they're still trying to convince people this really was a final 4 team.
I think krutwig would have given Luka fits. He moves a lot better and could bang with him down lowLoyola looked like a team designed to beat Iowa and they weren't even ranked. Big who can hang with Garza on defense and score agains him on offense. Gaurds/wings who were much more skilled and athletic.

The bad matchups, parade of injuries, and losing to teams you’re better than would get tiresome. That lost to Indiana twice. Must also have been bad matchup or they all needed surgery all year
Apparently, it's good enough for Gary Barta. I do feel sorry for Gary Dolphin. The bad matchups, parade of injuries, and losing to teams you’re better than would get tiresome.
Yeah but that was pre-shot clock era. What's your point? The Visigoths were once a powerful force in Europe for hundreds of years. Doesn't mean much today.
Fun fact: much like Hawks, the Visigoths also lost to a 7 seed. A plucky squad of Berbers who won the Caliphate tournament and were totally underseeded.
And Iowa's NIT run will end with a loss where they are repeatedly dunked on.

I have a ton of Iowa friends and I would say 95% hate Fran and his kids. It's enjoyable to hear them talk Iowa basketball.Or, and just hear me out here, they’re just your normal, every day Hawkeye fan.
This is exactly how my Iowa friends act. It’s hilarious.I have a ton of Iowa friends and I would say 95% hate Fran and his kids. It's enjoyable to hear them talk Iowa basketball.

My tavern hok friends were trying to give MadFran a pass this year because they actually had a natty dancing in their heads. Now they realize they're heading back to MadFran MFer type antics and typical hok mediocrity.
Only two weekends short! They were real close.
If they had lost three more times during the regular season, they might have picked up the natty in the NIT.Only two weekends short!

Oregon is two hours behind us. It was a bigger shock for them.A couple of posters are now upset with being the early game against Oregon. I dont think a few extra hours was going to stop that dunk fest.
