That team best an average Iowa team by 3. ISU went 11-7 in conference play and the big 12 was not very good that year. Two big 12 schools made the sweet sixteen, none made it to the elite 8. *Big Ten had 3 teams in the elite 8 that year btw*

KenPom disagrees with you on the Big 12. That was year 1 of 7 straight for the Big 12 as the KP top conference.
you need to look at a bracket sometime. 3 seeds dont play 1 seeds in the sweet 16.

Larry won reg season, won conference tournament, and made the elite 8 in same year. Fran just took iowa to the semis of the big 10 tournament for the first time since 2005 or 06. What an accomplishment for that guy.
What does postseason have to do with the regular season? I specifically said the greatest regular season, which is how you earn a #2 seed.
