Lots of pheasants and turkeys out and about this afternoon. 1st day above zero and of course it snowed SMH.

New pet peeve from grad school. Not being able to find out what you missed on a quiz/test.
I know it doesn't make it less sucky, but i think it is so adjuncts can keep using the same tests over and over.

Note to self: read the recipe completely next time before making something. I decided to make cream of asparagus soup and got the ingredients, but didn't see that I needed a blender. Which definitely makes the soup subpar

House smells like curry. Hopefully, if we win the WBB game, I can say "I love the smell of curry in the evening, smells like victory."

The Guys, my northern version of KC's The Boys, has a new member. Welcome, Mike the dalmatian Pennington dog. It's good to have a new buddy here at Hilton North. :)

Thanks, KC!

So the vacuum i used to complain about is taking up space and I wanted to rid. It shorts when you use the carpet brush. It was going to be like 75 to take in to look at fixing and I hated it anyway. So I was going to give to e recycling then told dh hey I'll post for free, maybe someone wants to fix. I had 30 people message me in like 15 min. So I changed it to $25 and got another half dozen very quickly. Idk if they all read past "free"? The lady getting it did know cause I confirmed. So apparently semi functioning vacuums are a hot item.

I'm a very happy Cat Dad tonight. We have had a mouse in the house for awhile. I believe it stayed in the basement but came upstairs for food. About a little over a year ago I was up on a Saturday around midnight I heard a commotion in the kitchen and it was my cat with the mouse in her mouth. I was afraid of the mice having something so I freaked out and told her to let it go which she did.

Fast forward to tonight. I open the door to my bedroom to find her in the hallway with the mouse which was no longer alive. So proud of my fur-baby!

Preached an Ash Wednesday sermon last night to 44 Lutherans in tiny Palmer, IA. Bless their hearts. (They are without a pastor, I fill in at area churches when they are in need.) They asked me to come back for Good Friday, guess it couldn't have been too bad.

@stormchaser2014 , your forecast looks good to me. I'll be in Oconomowoc on Saturday for a wedding, will be nice to have a real Wisconsin fish fry the night before.

Could you apply ashes? Didn’t know if that was an ordained requirement. Ours used a QTip to the hand/arm. Was pretty thick.

Since we're on the topic of Ash Wednesday and lent, I'd like to start an informal poll. What do you all call the Thursday before Good Friday? I call it Maundy Thursday, and my wife who was raised Catholic looks at me weird when I call it that and tries telling me that's not a thing. Apparently Holy Thursday is the only acceptable name for that day to her.

Maundy Thursday. Grew up Methodist and now Lutheran.
