I agree, I don’t think a correct assessment to prohms lack of success is just bad luck. It’s been a variety of things, but I think bad luck certainly is part. I apologize if I made it seem like I thought it was the only thing.To be fair, every coach in every league would have a similar list. The difference is you’re close enough to ISU to be able to recite them whereas you wouldn’t know 99% of those at other programs.
Saying Prohm has largely failed because of bad luck would be the same as Hoiberg only succeeded because of good luck. I don’t think either is correct.
You are also right that teams often deal with similar things, but I will say the Malou and Tyrese points are more unique. It’s rare for a juco player to sign then go to the nba and for your lottery pick to get a season ending injury. The two recent examples I can think of are Embiid and Garland. Though Embiid was at the end of the season and Garland was 5 games in so that’s closer to Tyrese I believe.
