But if you take the ratings upgrade at positions like OT with Davidkov over Maro but then you take a downgrade at positions like RB, CB, and TE. Which were big positions of need at ISU in this class. ISU definitely wanted Keegan Johnson but outside WR wasn’t a huge need in this class.

I believe I actually stated that a while back. You brought up a specific kid that happens to be an incredibly talented baseball player. Iowa State doesn't have a baseball program.

I agree with what you are saying. ISU was in position at outside WR to go for guys they really liked (Johnson), a guy who might never play college football (Brecht), and a physical project with little film (Michaud). That was because that wasn’t a position where they needed to get a surefire guy. I will say again that Iowa got a better class, I am just acknowledging the nuisance that it isn’t as cut and dried as far as which class I would rather have at ISU.

I like some of the guys Iowa State has. I also like some of the guys Iowa has. There are guys that fit our system better than Iowa's and vice versa.

I think that there are players within our class that are going to end up being better than players in Iowa's class, which is why I wouldn't blindly choose Iowa's.

They think what ISU did this year is the most impressive feat in college football ever, they think ISU will be playing for CCG more than 50% of the time moving forward, they are insulted if you have the audacity to think they might only win 7/8 games ever again in the history of CMC time at ISU.

I’m not sure anyone is saying Iowa didn’t have a better class. What we’re saying is we like our guys and we trust Campbell & co. can develop them just as well as every other class we’ve had. Keep in mind ISU has finished around the same in recruiting rankings give or take for the past 5 years and we are currently better than Iowa. This 2022 class for ISU looks like it’s going to be special, can’t wait to see what Campbell can do with even bigger talents coming to Ames. University of Iowa watch out.
