Iowa Football Recruiting

Again, who cares?

Oliver Martin has a higher grade and better offers than all three of those guys and he's behind Ragaini and Tracy.

Next you'll start concerning yourself with the low grades of Hyde, King, Stone and Jackson.

Do you agree Iowa State recruits the WR position much better than Iowa?

Much? No, all the guys you cited are 3 stars.

Alex Padilla had a Georgia offer and he might be the #3 QB on the depth chart this year.

Much would a more fitting description for OL recruiting where Iowa routinely gets 4 star guys.

Geez buddy.

Does Iowa State recruit the WR position better than Iowa? Yes or no

Over the last 10 years, probably but I hardly consider ISU a talent pool at that position. You've had 1 receiver drafted in the last decade. Iowa had more 1st round picks at TE in 1 year.

Offer list

Hutchinson:
Oklahoma
Nebraska
Arizona State
TCU
Utah

TJ Tampa:
Georgia
Maryland
Wake Forest

Daniel Jackson (All American):
USC
Arizona
Arizona State
Arkansas
Baylor
Illinois
Kansas State
North Carolina
Oklahoma State
TCU
Utah

So I'll ask again. When was the last time Iowa got a recruit like one of those three?

Iowa gets multiple recruits with better offer lists than that every year.

I'll just go ahead and disagree.

And I've heard James Taylor has a pretty sharp cut in the open field...

Here we go again....yet another troll moving the goal posts. Was TE even mentioned? Nope. I guess you wanted to one up someone and stick your chest out and gloat a little.

The fact of the matter is we just have so much ground to make up with in-state kids, especially that play OL, DL or TE. Maybe even throw in LB. They just have such a great history of success at that position, especially with in-state kids.

I've said it several times but as long as both Kirk and Doyle are at Iowa it will be really tough for Iowa State to beat out the hawks for kids in the trenches.

Draft picks and stars are not a fair assessment of how good a player was in college. If I'm not mistaken, your fanbase prides itself on turning walkons into starters and told us a billion times Josey Jewell was a 2 star in HS.

Lazard, Bundrage, Butler, and Jones were all WAY better than any Hok receiver in the past decade. I could even throw in Pettway, Lenz and Milton if I wanted to get dangerous.

Unfortunately, most of them had D2 QBs throwing to them most of their career.

Lazard and Butler yes. Not sure how any objective critic could say any of the others were better than McNutt, who unlike all but Butler was actually drafted.

Pettway and Jones are in this years draft. Milton is still in school.
Lazard was snubbed. If you don't think he was, tell me why.
Lenz and Bundrage played a few years in the NFL. and they played with TRASH QBs.
