ISU vs. UNO

Hamilton is going to be good...Loved his foot work and did a nice job sealing.

Buckley played better in the second half.

Two best shooting guards were on the bench...Lucca and Wes.

LA will probably be the only redshirt.

AT rebounded very well...but struggled offensively

Boozer shot well...struggled to stay in front on people defensively.

Recruiting....Looking like Colvin or nobody in the early signing period.

KG, Where do you get your info?

We were missing our two best shooters.

I'm totally down with Haluska seeing quite a bit of time this year. I'll take points any way we can get em.

keep in mind the original post was by a hawk fan so of course hes gonna be critical of the cyclones lol. go to his profile and you will see his pic of the hawk logo, he just doesnt want that displayed

i dont see how you can be upset with DG having 9 pts and 10 assists to just 1 TO

I liked Hamilton. Nice long shot to open the game. Not quite as quick as I would like him but it will improve over the year and anyway, its not his thing.

A big concern for me is this stat: pts. in the paint.....UNO 28 ISU 26. Whoa, that should not happen against a D II foe, not good, Big XII teams are going to tear us up in the paint if we don't get better post play.

I understand UNO is a D2 school.....but

The Mavericks have 10 returning players from the team that went 25-7 last season. UNO won the final NCC championship and a berth in the NCAA Division II Regionals. The 25 wins established a school record.

A darn good D2 School, well coached, with alot of continuity from last year.....

I thought ISU did fine against some good competition....

I was pretty positive already, but that's really something!! That's a good exhibition win.

And on the Iowa boards they always say I am a Cyclone fan...I just can't catch a break. :)

Is this picture better:

The game was pretty sloppy. The shooting looks improved, but the inside game is still not here at all way to many missed shots close to the hoop. Point gaurd position was okay today still struggles there as well Dg did alright, buckley did okay too. The ball handling has to get better and the offense once again stands around to much move, move, move!! Not getting the ball inbounds was rediculous and they had to call a time out no excuse for that. All in all I was not impressed with todays performance against a way smaller team. If you ask me not much improvement from a year ago, I like Pomlee out of most freshmen because he has the size and body that reminds me of Fizer. It is the first game against different comp, but much needed improvement in a lot of areas to compete in the big twelve.

I didn't get to make the game but did they really not have a guy over 6'6"?

I'm guessing Mann doesn't redhirt because he will transfer...

So the tallest starter was former Roosevelt player Dion Currey at 6'6".

The only guy taller than him was 6'9" and played 17 minutes...
