No, he gave him a scholarship for 1 year because we were 1 short. It was always just a 1 year thing with Riley.
I haven’t really paid much attention to Iowa. Is that recruiting class any better than when they were signed?
I don't know, I mean if I were Drake or UNI I wouldn't give Riley a scholarship. He isn't even a Missouri Valley level player IMO. He could transfer lower though if he really wants to play. He might also just be done with basketball.
Probably needs to go back to high school and hone his basketball skills. The guy was a waste of scholarship. Eric Steyer is better than he is and Eric was a walk on.
Ohhh that makes sense. I'd assume he'll be going to a school like Truman State, NW Missouri State, or Quincy, as those types of schools were his only offers out of HS I believe.
Dude Riley was a walk on as well. He was given a scholarship because Iowa had an extra one as they were down 1 scholarship going into the season.
