The Fran fade

I was told this a few days ago so maybe things completely changed? I mean 2-3 days could do a lot!

Now you I believe. I don't think Iowa is gonna play him until he can make all cuts and all plays 100%. No need in risking further injury.

Again. Thanks for being a voice of reason and decent sports discussion. He makes them better, especially with Wieskamps slump, but no reason to play him until he's fully recovered.
Well if what Twins is saying is true and he's gotten better and is cleared by the training staff, then you should play him because he's a key part of Iowa's team and couple more wins could help with seeding. But if he's not 100% I personally wouldn't want to risk it.

Being cleared to play, and being able to play at 100% are two different things. I'd gladly take a lower seed to insure we have CJ for the NCAA Tournament. I mean if CJ could play at 100% they would play him, but if he is limited in any way, even though cleared to play, they will sit him.

I heard it the day after the Michigan State game. They were expecting him to play that one
Yeah I was told a day or two before that game that they might hold him out for the rest of the regular season and get him back for the Big 10 Tournament to not risk anything because he still wasn't 100% yet and there was still some swelling. Maybe after that game the circumstances have changed and Iowa is going to take a chance, or CJ is indeed feeling better and is able to go without further risk of injury.

The first Hawk game against Penn st was one of better cbb games of the season. A 40 minutes fist fight in a historic venue. The basketball fan in me would like to see CJ ready to go and a similar game tomorrow.

He's 100% not 100%.

That was an amazing game. Seems as the year has went on the B1G refs are swallowing their whistles a lot more which has lead to lower scoring games than what we saw at the beginning of conference play.

I feel like this happens a ton every CBB season. The force of emphasis things that referees are told to look are thrown out the window and the number of calls made are diminished. The season is so long and at this point of the season refs don't want to get into games where they're stopping the play every other possession. I'm not saying that's a good thing either just making an assumption.

Michigan State won by just 8. How was that easy money? lol. Easy money would have been if Michigan State won by 20.
You are right, it wasn't easy money but I felt very very confident going in that I was getting paid. I was right, but they made me sweat. I didn't watch it, which made it easier.

Physical play has killed college basketball. I couldn't believe when I heard on the radio that the Big12 has the slowest pace of play of any major conference. The Big12 usually calls fouls and tries to keep the physical play limited. You let WVU do what they do and the rest of the conference has to adjust and to it as well and it affect the entire conference in time though.

Yeah WVU has been like that for years and it's so demoralizing at times to watch their games. The top of the Big 12 this year is SO good defensively though, which slows the pace of the game down. KU, WVU, and Baylor go #1 #2 #3 in Ken Pom defensive rankings and TTU is close behind at #6.
