Heacock is ISU's DC who Notre Dame went after this offseason. He was a finalist for top assistant coach of the year (offense or defense) voted on by his peers

So since they faced much more difficult competition should we put an asterisk next time we discuss Iowa's defensive players or Parker?

I'd be interested to see what that would look like for us after the Texas game when we made significant changes to our defensive scheme.

You would think so, but no one in the National media has really paid any attention to Iowa this offseason. Even their Vegas O/U is only 7.5, despite being ranked in the 15-25 range in most statistical and advanced metric based preseason rankings.

That’s part of the reason I think Iowa could be in store for a big year- everyone knows that Iowa’s best years under KF come when they fly under the radar. They are definitely flying under the radar this year, but are expected by the computer models to be pretty good.

This off season? LOL most off seasons.

And you literally are saying that Iowa's best seasons are with easy schedules. No ****.

And yet you think the Hawks are going to win in a few weeks? How can that be? ISU defense should totally shut down Iowa based on coaching alone.
