Premier League

Wish I could help but I only know the spuds starting 11 in EPL nothing about their youth setup. I have no idea who Milan will bring. These pre season tours are hit or miss in a good year but with WC you might not recognize anyone.

That’s cool that you are going to that match though Milan is a big club.
Yeah, I don't know much about their squad these days though. I loved Balotelli and that squad back in 2013, i think. Bonucci and Silva are the only players I can recognize by their face on this current squad. They've been struggling in the Serie A for a handful of seasons now.

Kind of a Random question, but due to the recent Spurs talk in here, thought this was as good of a group as any to ask. I am going to the Spurs v AC Milan match tonight. I know of the Main World Cup players who aren't there, and some of the injuries through the first 2 games of the ICC, but who should I be looking for on the Spurs? Who is a bright spot that I should keep an eye on? I admittedly don't want EPL as much as Bundas. Any info on AC Milan would be welcomed as well :)

From a USMNT perspective, keep an eye on Cameron Carter-Vickers for Spurs. He’s started most of their ICC matches due to the first team guys coming in late. He’s a young center back who’s already got a few caps for the US. He’s got the potential to be a key central defender for the US over the next 10 years.

I think it depends largely on what exactly you want to watch. If you are only interested in catching one or two matches every weekend and are mostly interested in the bigger clubs, then you would probably be fine just catching whatever is aired on NBC/NBCSN. If you want to follow a single club (and especially if that club isn't one of the top 6), then the NBC Gold Pass is probably your best bet.

Just be warned that the Gold Pass does not give you access to matches that are broadcast over the air. So if you are a cord cutter and are expecting every match, every weekend to show up on NBC Gold you are going to be disappointed.

Big Liverpool Fan here. If you are a big 6 guy, pretty much every game will be on NBC/NBCSN. For the games that aren't on NBC/NBCSN, I will find it online and make my couch the "First Row" to view "Sports" if you know what I mean....

Top 6 predictions?

1.) Man City - Guardiola + what seems like a billion dollar transfer budget wins the Premier League for the foreseeable future.
2.) Liverpool - Klopp leads another exhilarating Liverpool front 4, but in Klopp fashion, fails to get the most out of his defense costing Liverpool the title.
3.) Spurs - As long as Pochettino + Kane are at Tottenham, the Spurs will continue to make the top 4, but not even Poch can bring a trophy to the Spuds.
4.) Arsenal - The new appointment of Unai Emery leads to a drastic improvement in discipline throughout the club. Aubamayeng's +30 goals sneaks Arsenal within the top four.
5.) Man United - The biggest fraud of them all Mourinho continues to see third year struggles as he loses the locker room late, costing the Red Devils Champions League football.
6.) Chelsea - The Blues get off to a rocky start with the new appointment of Sarri, but salvage the season late to earn a Europa League spot.
It's hard to repeat, but I agree with this mostly. What is your point spread between Man City and Liverpool? I would be disappointed if Liverpool aren't really challenging middle of March/beginning of April/

Spurs:
Christian Eriksen (Starting CM)
Heung Min Son (Starting LM)
Davinson Sanchez (Starting CB)
Kyle Walker-Peters (Talented young player)
Cameron Carter Vickers (USMNT)

I have no idea who will start tonight for the Spuds, but these are the players I'd look forward to seeing that played vs Barca in the previous friendly. The top 3 are world class players.

AC Milan:
Ricardo Rodriguez (Talented left back)
Alen Halilovic (Talented young attacking mid; was once a Barca product; trying to find his way at Milan)
Gigi Donnarumma (Young; hailed as Italy's "next Buffon")
Davide Calabria (talented young right back)
Franck Yannick Kessie (talented young midfielder)
Patrick Cutrone (talented young striker)
Andre Silva (talented young striker)

AC Milan have a lot of young talent with few world class players. Juventus just shipped Gonzalo Higiuan and Mattia Caldara to Milan but you won't see them today.

I knew when I bought these I wouldn't be seeing Kane or Dele Alli or Lemela. But figured I'd be able to see a good amount of their squad. Pissed Sissoko went home with Injury. But being able to see Eriksen, Davies, Heung-Min and Kyle Walker-Peters will still be worth it. I just hope its a good environment and competitive game.

Thanks a lot, this is more information on Milan than I can find anywhere haha. Much appreciated.

Also, had no idea Carter Vickers was back on loan. Or is he just playing for them in the ICC before being re-located again?

Lots of factors here. Like mdk pointed out previously, City had quite a few players involved in the World Cup, who might not be up to fitness yet. May cause a slow start for them. Also depends how far Liverpool and City get in the domestic cups and in Champions League. City have a much deeper squad so they can afford to compete in all competitions without risking late season fatigue. Liverpool would have finished with more points last year had they been knocked out of the Champions League earlier. The potential of injuries also favors City because of their depth.

I still think City are a dozen points clear of Liverpool. It is just unfair the amount of talented depth they have on that squad coupled with a top notch coaching staffing.

Surprised Eriksen is back?

And Liverpool has Jordan Henderson in their midfield. WOOF.

From what I see he's in Poch's plans for the season so I don't think he'll end up being loaned out this year.

Hoping for a loan so he can get regular football. He might get some games in the league Cup and early rounds of FAC but he’s not going to be getting much game time in the league with what’s in front of him there.

Sorry I meant back from World Cup and in training let alone playing semi competitive games. Henderson is a backup for us now by the way. Gini will start in his place especially if we bring in Fekir which looks unlikely but you never know.

I agree about the world cup thing. Last year, City got out to such a huge lead in the league that no one else ever got close. I also think it might take a while for Liverpool's new signings to come into place and gel as a unit. Man City's core players are all the same as last year and will be very familiar with play styles.

Ultimately, I agree that it will come down to other competitions. If it was just the league, Man City would be 10-15 points better, but if they go deep in Europe and Liverpool don't, then we could see a 5-10 point difference.

I would pick around 8 points for Man City to win by with Spurs really close to Liverpool with a large gap between 1-3 & 3-6.

Yeah, I was suprised to see him and Heung-Min back, for sure. Certainly Eriksen cause they made the round of 16.

Spurs happily sold Kyle Walker to City for about 50 million pounds last summer.
