I was done with the franchise when they killed Goose. Unless the plot involves his ghost or his reanimated corpse teaching Maverick one final lesson, I'll stay away.

Are they really so out of ideas that they want to make a sequel that is over 30 years after the original? It hasn't worked out all that well for other movies. I guess they just hope for people showing up on opening weekend out of nostalgia.
There is only one "way too late" sequel that has ever worked out for me...
