It was not like last season was all bad. To go through some green shoots...
-- Wigginton has CPOTY potential
-- Lard is an absolute diamond in the rough, and if he develops some consistency and learns how to defend without fouling, then he is going to be
awesome
-- I like the twister on the uniforms
-- NWB emerged as a above-average PG
-- won our Myrtle Beach tournament, beat a good Boise State team
-- teased us we might fight into the middle of the pack in the Big 12/onto the bubble with how the team was playing in late December and early January
I really thought we had something there for a few weeks. We might have if we stayed healthy.
-- lost a
lot of close games a more experienced team might close out
-- beat four good/ranked/tournament teams (WVU, BU, OU, and TTU)
-- beat Iowa and UNI... state champs baby!
-- game KU way more than they should have in Lawrence
-- Talley looks to be a versatile wing for next year
-- I thought team chemistry looked suspect at the start of the year, but I think they bonded towards the end, especially over Donovan's loss
-- Lewis found his stroke at the end of the year
-- great recruiting class coming into the program
...so the season was not a total loss. Plenty of good things happen, too.
