Can Yeahbuddy resist taking it?

Lol I wasn't even putting it out there as bait I'm being serious. He's already higher on Rivals, ESPN they are the same and 247 has said they are going to give him a big bump in their next update. I think they'll be close but THT will be ranked a little better

Maybe we look at the term hot seat a little different. He is not getting fired this year so I dont consider him on the hot seat. If he doesnt improve the roster and make the tourney next year he will be on the hot seat and hopefully in danger of losing his job then.

So going 1-17 in Big Ten play and being absolutely embarrassed most nights won't get him fired? As always, money talks. If the big donors stop supporting the program and want him gone and fans don't come back to Carver to watch this train wreck of a season, then he should be gone.

The real question is does the one psycho guy who sits court side support him?

I'm just saying that Yeahbuddy tends to avoid going on the record with stuff, because it ruins his favorite arguing tactic: "Link?"

I really don't think Fran will be fired this season but, the fans have started to turn on him, his players appear to not believe in their system and his antics on the sideline have been an black-eye on the program/Athletic Department for years. Fran's is on the "warm" seat, and he is aware that things need to turn around next year or it will be elevated to hot.

I am curious if Fran would look taking the same path Coach McD did at ISU. Doug wasn't going to be fired the year he left even with the fan base growing apathy and missing the tournament (though he had the issue with transfers leaving), yet he jumped at a lower MVC Creighton job rather than walk into a presumed last season and possibly not get a Head Coaching opportunity if he was let go after another bad year.

Could Fran look at a lower level which he had previous success at to avoid another bad year and not getting even that opportunity if fired?

No, he would not get fired after the season if Iowa finishes 1-17 in the B1G.

Thats weak.

I go on record with a lot of stuff, most of it has been wrong with regards to this basketball season.

Who do you think ends up better at the end of the year on the composite? THT or Wieskamp?

I think Wieskamp will. 61 spots is a lot of ground to make up. Wieskamp most likely wont move much from where he is at now so almost all of the ground would have to be made up by THT moving up in the rankings.

I've been meaning to ask, how many Cosby sweaters is a courtside seat going for these days?

I wonder that, too. I'd be shocked if he hadn't considered it. Like I said previously, with his two kids in tow, a mid Major school would probably be pretty happy to have him. Maybe the A-10.

I'm going to call my shot. Fran to Fordham. East Coast, Catholic School, in need of a real shot in the arm. Mark it down. ;)

I'm proud of you. That took a lot of guts. Guts that I wasn't sure you had. You've proven me wrong, sir. I underestimated your gumption.

It'll all come down to how much THT moves up in the next 247 rankings. They have said multiple times he's ranked wrong right now

How many rankings go in to the composite? Any idea?

He is already at 110 in the 247 rankings so moving up only in that probably wont be enough to vault him ahead of Wieskamp in the composite.

Rivals, 247 and ESPN. It'll be curious to see how much the ESPN bump gives him today or tomorrow whenenever it updates but he's #76 in ESPN and #31 in Rivals so if he jumps up in the 60's in 247 he'll probably jump Wieskamp

Its just those 3? For some reason, I thought there was more.
