How concerned should we be about the offense?

I was OK with both. Butv on the first one we shouldn't of been in 4th down. Kempt hands the ball off instead of keeping it and we score on 2nd down.
That's fair. Another thing they may hear about is not trying Lanning in the goal line series.

Goal line plays really make me hurt that we lack TE pass game.

Kempt stares down every receiver... Rarely makes a second read. Also seems like the checkdown is sometimes his first read. We can continue to win with him, but he is going to have to work on this.

He is also completely immobile and if we keep having injuries on he O-line, he is going to get killed. Some of those sacks he doesn't look like he is even trying to escape. I imagine this is because he is trying to maintain ball security but there has to be a happy medium.

They weren't designed runs for him....that's what's inexcusable. His inability to run is a major hit to our offense, especially when he chooses to run. Ugh!!!!

In both, the line was run blocking. They weren't pass plays that broke down. Giving him the option to keep is inexcusable.

Campbell's gonna hear about not going for the 4th downs at the goal line in his next few pressers.

Later in the 4Q, trailing by a TD, on the road, with a struggling offense, 2 and goal on the 1...sure seems like that would be a 4-down scenario. If you don't get it, you have the opponent pinned at the 1 with a good defense...

We can not run block. At all! Terrible play calling in the red zone.

Bolded part was not needed. Honestly, I don't know what else they can do. There are almost no upperclassman in the line, and if they are there, they are not very good. It isn't just seniors either, there are very few juniors too. Almost expect the RS to be pulled on Hudson next week.

And despite the score they were not good against KU.

We’re a Mike Stoops away from CF realizing Kempt limits our offense further than it already was with our weak OLine. Honestly, Manning is doing a good job given all he has is jump balls
So what do you recommend?

I didn't get to watch the second half but I'll assume it was more of the same from the last 3 games. We're very limited with Kempt at QB and it was only a matter of time before teams started to figure him out.

We've played outstanding despite his short comings, and the team rallied to have a great October, but we're going to have to REALLY step it up to score some points down the stretch. Play calling is limited by circumstance, not by design.

Patience. Time.

This staff is very good. Last year they improved the line play, but this year it’s an even bigger project. I’m thinking we go heavy on jucos and grad transfers. The Qb position is a curveball given Park’s unexpected absence. Thank goodness for the special teams and defense that it’s only cost us one game. If it continues to struggle maybe we give Noland some series.

So all your post after post after post after posts pointing out the negatives of OL play, limitations and arm strenght really express your patience? You never miss an opportunity to point out a negative opinion. Since you didn't reply last time I asked, I'll ask again. Why is it that when we do well its because of team and when a bad thing happens it "falls on the QBs desk"?

Yes, patience with this staff until we aren’t starting a backup qb and overwhelmed Olinemen. Defending this staff and Park isn’t being negative.

Kempt got way too much credit for this team going from 2-2 to 6-2. Is that negative? Only to those that looking at the story more than his place. Put your head in the sand, but your weakest links are why you lose. In general that’s QL and QB play for us. When we win they may play better than today, but it’s more that the other units just played well enough to overcome the limitations at QB and OL.
