***OFFICIAL IOWA/ISU WEEK THREAD***

But Iowa doesn't care about the game. Right @YeahBuddy @HawkeyeMashup @MVCchamps??

Not as much as these trolls do though. Sure wish the mods would drop the ban hammer on these buffons!! How many threads do these idiots post on the Iowa Football Recruiting, Big Ten Basketball Is in a No Good Very Bad Place, this thread, and the Iowa/ Wyoming game. Isn't it obvious they are just on here as trolls?

As it is stated about Cyclone Fanatic it is "an online community of the most loyal and passionate fans of the Iowa State Cyclones that you will ever find."
Loyal, passionate fans of the Iowa State Cyclones??? The above mentioned trolls do not meet that criteria and should be banned. Mods??

And it was Beat Iowa all spring and Summer according to the Voice of the Cyclone.

I like that CMC has decided to treat this game like Mac and Rhoads did. Smart move by him, it means a lot to the fanbase to win this game.
I would love to see a link of that. It was TVoTH who stated it was a video of the board from the summer that was being posted all over. I am curious as to who was posting those photos from back then, now? And all "TVoTC" said was "yeah, I saw what you're talking about"

If there may very well be a tweet going around with a board from this spring/summer, but I have only seen the one changing from UNI to TTOE

Iowa's had the Super Bowl mentality ever since Fry took over the morbid Iowa program and he put beating ISU as #1. That yearning is in the culture in Iowa City, and KF is a Fry guy, after all. And now you have 2nd generation Hawk-Frys on Iowa's roster that live for this game. When we had DMac we often matched their fervor for this game, but that's likely not the case with Campbell.

I go back to the thought, posted somewhere off this site, that this is the game fans hate to lose the most. While both sides are happy to win, the sense of relief is perhaps more pronounced. You just hate the thought of going to work and having to deal with victorious ISU/Iowa fans. I don't think that thought applies to the players.
I dare you to say that to Georges Niang's face.

Link? I highly doubt that. I listened to the podcast and he didn't say that on there.

Yes he did, and I know you listen to all of Millers podcasts. I'll make it real easy for you. Forward to the 17:05 mark. The Voice of the Hawks asks why ISU has a beat Iowa countdown clock in the weight room in the summer time or in the spring time. He says he saw photographic evidence of it.

The Voice of the Cyclones responds "Yes, I think when you are down, which ISU has been down, the model is there".

Voice of the Hawkeyes interrupts and says "Hence it means more to ISU than Iowa".

Voice of the Cyclones says. "Yeah but I think when Iowa had lost 5 in a row to Mac, I'm sure that they valued the game more than they do when they won 13 in a row."

Yeah I listened and CW never said there was a countdown clock. Are you deaf?

The game means a helluva lot to me. An ISU win means I don't have to listen to some Hok fan bragging about it the entire year.

He gets ticked that everyone thinks ISU Cares more about the game, and that he doesn't care about beating ISU. That is the perception out there, and he wants to win every game, so it ticks him off.

Only here in @CyTwins troll town USA is it though of as the opposite of that.

So you guys do care. Got it.

I love that JM spent a considerable amount of time trying to parrot this little brother narrative, and CW just flat-out allowed it and went with it. Didn't even bother trying to stop JM or to move on to a real discussion topic, he just let Hawkeye Voice chirp along.

Say Miller won the battle if you want, but Williams clearly won the war. He didn't bother taking Miller's bait or even fighting with him about it -- letting Miller go full-neanderthal about it was the best option.

Yes he did, the first words out of his mouth were, "Yes". Then he went on to make excuses two time about if you have lost the game multiple times in a row you want it more.

LOL trying to claim different on this, I know you listened to Millers podcasts religiously.

I, for one, appreciate the feel good Brian Ferentz story. Take Kurt Warner and throw him out the window. With Brian, you have a kid who at one time lived in government subsidized housing, and worked his way up the ranks all the way to a $2million annual salary and is building his resume ready to take over his own ship someday.

He didn't say yes to the countdown clock and I always listen to CW's podcasts.

You're not very good at listening obviously. ISU showed they took down the beat UNI sign after the game to put up the TTOE one.

What does that have to do with what the Voice of the Cyclones said? Obviously the clock said Beat iowa all spring and summer and now during the year they will change it week to week. Doesn't change the fact the Voice of the Cyclones confirmed it did say Beat Iowa during the offseason.

That makes sense though, here is CMC about the priority put on the game by him and his staff. I'm sure the countdown clock that said Beat Iowa all offseason was just one of many Motivational tools used to stress the rivalry.
