Iowa Football Recruiting

Of course the latter, but hard for Iowa to make up an entire recruiting class of guys like that. So in cases where they get a promising athlete, it is nice to get one that can excel at a sport like Baseball where Iowa seems to be an up and comer at the moment.
Personally I would hate if any ISU basketball or football player played another sport besides track. Focus on one thing unless you're a Bo Jackson level talent

The argument that you have to walk way farther in IC is completely overstated anyway. There are of course lots you can tailgate at that are farther away but 90% of the tailgating is within a few blocks of the stadium.
Even if you walk from Myrtle Hill to Finkbine (complete opposite sides of Kinnick and a majority of the tailgating is done between those two locations) it's a 1.4 mile walk. To walk from the southern lots to the northern lots in Ames is 1.1 miles...

Maybe ISU fans complain about walking bc they aren't as good of shape or are more lazy?
You tailgated at the hospital park ramp? Lol man, that is your fault, I didn't know anybody was stupid enough to actually tailgate there.
Like I said the absolutely only thing ISU fans reference is all being together in a massive parking lot. Seems ISU fans love them some chain restaurants, track housing and huge parking lots to tailgate in. To each their own I guess?

No. Some will tailgate in parking lots, some will tailgate at a golf course, some will tailgate in yards. Some will find many different areas to tailgate.
ISU has Parking lots. Not choices, no options, just big lots. Kind of like track homes, one size fits all here you go.
I have tailgated in 3 main spots in Iowa City over the last 10-15 years and each was different and unique. Lots of choices for discerning fans like me in Iowa City.
I've never tailgated at Finkbine but it sounds awful. Isn't it just a group of people in the parking lot there a mile away from Kinnick?

If you wanna talk about far away, some fans tailgate miles away and take a train right to Kinnick. Talk about an exciting thing for families to do! I can't wait to take my son on his first train ride to Kinnick!
The choices are nearly endless for Iowa fans and how they want to experience their game day.
No I'm confused how tailgating in a parking lot a mile away from the stadium is a better option than tailgating in a parking lot right next to the stadium. Who in their right mind would choose Finkbine over a spot next to Kinnick?

Lots of reasons many can't tailgate right next to the stadium, just like in Ames. The more money you give the closer to the stadium you can get typically. Finkbine is good for those who don't have season tickets and only come to a game or two a year. Most the season ticket holders like me have deals works out with homeowners to rent spots, or with the university to park in lots.
Do you have anything that doesn't center around the distance away from the stadium? If you don't like walking, there are lots of good spots you can get in Iowa City, it just requires more money.
You say Iowa has good tailgating because of the variety of locations to do it then you mock somebody for tailgating there... Maybe you prefer the parking lot tailgates?
