Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

So Iowa isn't sniffing a bid, we're making the tournament and we're not much better than them? Lol you are miserable to deal with around here
Your simpleton mindset is amusing, but there's not a big difference between an 8+ seed and teams around Iowa's range. We're not "way better" than a young team that soundly beat us in December and that already has a better win.

I'm doing a 6 hour round trip for the Kansas game Monday. So, yeah, it is possible.

LOL the excuses for Iowa's poor b-ball attendance are really neat.

"Weeknight 8:00 tip is to hard for people in DSM area"
"Sunday afternoon games are challenging to get to"
"The dorms are too far away from Carver"
"There's just so much more to do in Iowa City"

The pathetic things is that Iowa has the Quad Cities, and Cedar Rapids all within an hour and they still can't get people to fill the seats.

Big? No. Significant? Yes

Beating Purdue at home basically the same as beating Tech at home.
I'd say both are true- basically the same in the larger context of type of wins, but in the vacuum that is head-to-head comparison Purdue being the better of the two.

Let's say they're basically the same- Iowa has the convincing head-to-head and similar quality wins. There is nothing to say we're "way better". To do so requires writing off our loss to them as a bad night but counting Iowa's bad loss as the "truth". I firmly believe we win a 10 game series against them, but it likely wouldn't be by much, particularly not at the end of the year.

They haven't won on the road, lost to Omaha and Seton Hall at home and lost to a bad Memphis team on a neutral court. There's a reason their RPI is MUCH worse than ours

Really? Do your arms not work on weeknights? Do you only get a car on the weekends? You have a "no fly" restriction on weeknights?

Again, if you would read the thread instead of just posting gibberish you would see I said possible is the wrong word to use, ideal would have been a better choice.

2 kids age 5 and under, full time job, a regularly scheduled community group through our church that we have on Thursdays, and a 5 hour round trip does not make it an ideal trip for me.

Keep being obtuse as possible though.
