It is not easy to find an impact post. Everyone wants them. Transfers are not a lock because they are often coming from lower competition or have had issues elsewhere. H.S. kids are not always physically ready to play year one and it is hard to predict how they will develop. Prohm obviously knew it was an issue when he came here and he is trying to find guys that can perform at a Big 12 level. In 1.5 years he has brought in 3 transfers and 4 H.S. kids.

Steve Prohm's Murray State level players currently out number Fred Hoiberg's Iowa State level players in the NBA.
The other side of that argument is that Prohm had two NBA players and won zero NCAA games at Murray.
My point there is that the overall talent on Fred's teams would have been better than having 1-2 studs and the rest mid major players.
He's negative about everything. Probably doesn't think Campbell and staff can recruit either.
The other side of THAT argument is that that conference doesnt get the luxury of getting multiple teams in like the majors do.
Anyone remember what Lewis was ranked on 247 when he originally committed in August?
If he can develop Murray State level players into NBA players, think what he can do with ISU level players!
First can we first see Kasongo play before there are negative comments about his play. Especially comparing him to Endozie. Not knocking Endozie as he did contribute a few minutes on a couple very good ISU teams but Kasongo is more talented. Just refer to the offers for him and Kasongo coming out of HS, JC and his transfer.

Either he has some great handers who can trick coaches into extending offers or he has talent to play at the D-1 level. We won't know how much he'll contribute until next year in any case, but I want to give Ray and CSP the benefit of the doubt.

How do their junior seasons compare? You've followed college basketball long enough to know there are dozens of coaches desperate enough each signing period to chase mythical upside.
Just found out Solomon Young was only ranked 231 on 24/7, should probably force him to transfer.

To compare, Edozie only D-1 offers were Minnesota and ISU if I remember correctly. Players with his size and athleticism are pretty hard to find thus, coaches are willing to offer his "upside".
It is fine if you and others are down on Kasongo, that is what message boards are for.
I just want some evidence that he can't contribute to ISU as a RS Jr before deciding on Ray's ability this year.
