ISU-Iowa line

While this is true, I said ball control X 100. No way do we win this game with no pass rush and secondary issues if we keep giving ISU a chance to throw the ball to AL.

Maybe we rush blitz, and probably send someone on passing downs. But it's game 2, so might be too early for this.

I am concerned as I can see a very clear path for an ISU win.

But again, no one knows how badly not having Hesse and Jewell impacted both rushing and passing defense. But there is no argument that the offensive line allowed CJB to get pressured and hit, and the safeties are obviously a work in progress.

I'm actually more concerned this year than last year.

Please show me this clear path for an ISU victory because I can't see anything near that

Iowa by 20

Who are Iowa's two new safetys? Miles Taylor started every game for them last year.

Yeah, if anything Iowas safetys Snyder (the new one) and Taylor really struggled. Taylor missed a lot of tackles, and Snyder was out position a lot, including one of the TDs where Mabin was "burned"

I think the team comes in focused and pulls out the win! Then next week we go back to normal bad Isu football.. But we still beat Iowa. book it.

Well don't worry too much I'm sure KF will
Have these guys razor focused for the hok's super bowl this Saturday.

Yeah it's just not true. How many fake FG's did Ferentz run last year?

Haha! So one fake field goal and all the sudden its "not true". You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, like always. A football team runs around 50-75 offensive plays a game, so pointing to one to make a point is just sad. Nice try though.

You have no clue saying Ferentz only opens up the offense for conference games and is vanilla for OOC games. That's just stupid

Ummm.... yeah.... Its been well known that he starts the season calling more basic, fundamental "vanilla" plays, then as the season goes on, they get more comfortable, they start throwing in more wrinkles. Other coaches do the same.

Unless you're prepping for a LSU/Bucky, or Notre Dame/ Texas type game, no coach opens up the entire defense or offense early in the season.

Especially teams like Iowa AND ISU as examples. They simply can't as they are generally still developing on both sides of the ball. And almost every FBS teams use early games to develop run blocking.

But outside of that, you must be correct, because you always seem to think you are.

If you only saw a glimpse then your just being ignorant saying that they are "solid"

...then you ignored what my post said. From what I saw they LOOKED solid. Didn't say they ARE solid.

Saw an article today making it sound like their defense wasn't great, nor was the offense.

The little bit I saw I know they didn't do things like having veteran players running into each other.

I'm convinced Cytwins is a hok fan. Didn't know crap about our guys, but can tell you everything you need to know about Ferentz and co. Never engages in discussion on isu.
