ISU-Iowa line

How in the world did you think they look solid? Defense played pretty poor, mabin was god awful. Miami of Ohio even had more total yards. They scored higher then their season average last year and they play in the mid-american, I mean cmon. Offense looked okay they had a steady run game but they have mediocre wide receivers. My guess is that you didnt watch the game but only looked at the score not knowing that miami had 3 fumbles and got screwed on a call where they should have turnover.

The GLIMPSE I saw they looked ok. Didn't take notes and watched LSU/WI mainly since it was a close and more interesting matchup.

I guess that since ISU got pushed around by an FCS team that a MAC team would be a breeze.

Take the points. Iowa just didn't look that good and we can't possibly be as bad as we played last night.

Look ahead line before the season was Iowa -15.5

I didn't see anything from either team that makes me think that should change much. I'll take a stab and say Iowa is favored by 16.5 points.

Ok, what do you think the line will be for next week?

I'd say Iowa will be favored by about 17.5, but they should be favored by about 28.5.

Worst thing is, I have to be there to witness the beat down. Hopefully I can be out of there by the half. I don't know how much I can take.

Seriously sell the tickets. Don't put yourself through it. Take that money, have a get together at your house, and try to actually enjoy your day.

You might be right. Just saying, he played 11 games last year and in 8 of them he had 75 yards or less, and in 6 of them had 0 TDs. Good WR? Sure.
It's not his fault the rest of the team was awful. He can't do everything.

Lol, so nearly every college wide receiver sucks.

I said he was good. Just not as great as some think. Numbers don't lie. He only topped 100 yards twice last year. Came in as one of the top WR recruits in the country. Not all his fault, bad QBs and OCs. But he should be victimizing guys like Mabin and for the most part he hasn't.

I'm feeling a 2009 special here, a bunch of turnovers and nonexistent offense on our part. I'd bet the line is Hawks by 17 or something.

He averaged 73.5 yards per game last season as a true sophomore and had 129 last night. Your best WR last year, who is also a captain this season, averaged 50 yards per game playing a JV schedule. Trolling an ISU board today is a little classless for you isn't it?

With one or maybe two exceptions this is the worst team we will play for the rest of the season. Give me the Cyclones. Why? Because nothing ever makes sense.
I'm confused, are you a Cyclone fan? This post makes a lot more sense if you are a Hawkeye fan but you have a Cyclone avatar and name...

If you're honestly debating whether Iowa is better than San Jose State or Kansas (which is what is implied by "With one or maybe two exceptions") then you are the reason everyone makes fun of this message board.

Our WRs are never very good. AL good, I'd take him in a heartbeat. I'd just have expected more given his accolades coming in, especially in the pass happy Big 12.
