Barnes 6th per rivals!!!!

You might want to go watch him in Ames this winter and next winter. It might be the last time you see him play in Iowa.

Harrison said he is thoroughly enjoying the camp, a 'once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.' He mentioned how he would like to chance to play LeBron 1v1 but is a little intimidated by 'the beast'. Haha glad he is enjoying himself. Couple coaches there have identified him as one of the top 10 players at the camp.

It's funny he refers to him as the beast.

At last years camp I opened a door without looking and in walked Lebron, He is a BEAST, unbelievable how he is built. I don't know how the avg. guard could stop him in the post.

I have heard that he has stood out as the best 2010 player at the camp and on of the best overall. Great to hear. Also believe GMAC is there watching him play. Go get him coach

Yeah, he was. I am a little more confident on the Harrison front, from some different things I have been hearing. I wonder if Lickliter knows he has no shot at Harrison?

Lickliter has a chance but it's very small. He HAS to keep pursuing him until told "no thanks".

If he has no chance it isn't right to lead him on. Not that I have a problem with it.

Well, for Harrison, Iowa presents the exact same problems as Iowa State, so I can't imagine Harrison is putting any thought into attending Iowa.

Even if Lick does realize that he has no chance he still needs to give the perception that he is trying to land Harrison. You have to pursue a kid with his talent if he is in your state. Iowa fans would have a right to be upset if he didn't try even though there is essentially no chance he ends up at Iowa.

According to guys like Maggard and apparently that UK writer, UK leads for anybody Billy Clyde talks to.

In my opinion that does nothing but hurt us.

Harrison Barnes (to himself) "Wow, I'm 6th in the country, that means I should probably go to a team that frequents the NCAA Tournament if I want a shot at the big leagues."

Not necessarily correct thinking but what else do you expect.

I've said before, and reiterate, a lot will depend on how well we do in the next two years. If we make considerable progress, as I believe we will, I think we'll have just as good a chance or better in the HB sweepstakes. Who wouldn't want to help take the program they grew up following to another level? I think some of the pieces are in place already, throw in a superstar, (or two), and the sky's the limit.

If the players we have now play with discipline and intensity within the sysytem that is in place, we will have success.

The Bigs and Wings were the highlight of the day at the LeBron James Skill Academy, but it was a rising junior from Iowa that had folks talking in Akron…
