I assume staying in this draft is just one more piece of bad advice Malou has received involving his basketball career.
As opposed to what other option? He's apparently not going to be eligible so he might as well stay in the draft.
Has it even been confirmed that he graduated from DMACC?
After Malou said he was staying in the draft I thought Prohm said he had expected Malou would have been cleared to play. As Malou made his decision weeks before the deadline (not that I have a lot of confidence the NCAA would have ruled in time) I assume he made it not based on his NCAA eligibility but on believing he had a chance to go straight to the NBA.

Bad decision on his part. One of many
He never did get cleared! Prohmy! Expected him to get cleared or he never would have tied up a scholarship. Buy he was a couple weeks away and was not cleared had to go for NBA shot.
Easy for, and smart of, Prohm to say he thinks Malou would have been eligible.
Why does saying that benefit Prohm at all?
