Barnes 6th per rivals!!!!

what are the chances that we'll hand out all of our scholarships before Barnes makes a decision? Will we keep one open "just in case?" ....or is there a chance that once we get down to one, he'll let us know if we need to keep it open?
We will keep it open as long as we can.

Actually I heard he's skipping the whole playing thing and just going straight to the hall of fame.

Not sure if it's been posted yet...

Barnes got invited to Lebron's camp...He's pretty excited about it.

We all read that. Old news.

Sure. But it buttressed the point I wanted to make.

If you want to be good, you have to be better in the third year.

In the usual course of events, for the typical mbb program, sure. But, JP says Mac started way behind the curve when he accepted the ISU job, and many of us believe that to be the case. This program will require more time to resurrect than the typical program undergoing a normal coaching transition.

You say next year is Mac's third; JP says next year is Mac's first. JP wields the authority to make it so; his opinion trumps yours in practical effect.

Perhaps JP comment from awhile back was necessary to help the fundraising.

Perhaps. But I am not a mind-reader; I don't know what motives cause JP to make a particular statement. All I know is what he says. He said nothing about fund-raising in the statement he made about Mac.

well i go to dowling, and ames plays us at dowling next year and im just gunna deck out in ISU gear, i think we should get some chants at football games, like WE WANT BARNES! during timeouts, cause im 16 like he is and if i was at a football game and 50000 people started chanting that they wanted me id be there in a heartbeat

I helped run the Lebron camp last year and this is going to be a great experience for him. Different from most of these other camps in that he is going to get INSTRUCTION and EDUCATION on his game from some great coaches. Plus he will be able to showcase his abilities against the top 80 kids in the country. Good for him.

I don't see him on the list of position camps that are prior to the Lebron Skills Academy. Is he attending one of those? Either Nash, Amare, Pierce or Vince Carter?

I know you can attend the Lebron camp without going to one of these but it would be great to get him to a position camp as well.

he's number 6 overall and #2 at his position...... it will be an epic failure if we cant get him. good to see dykstra on that list though

Harrison Barnes (to himself) "Wow, I'm 6th in the country, that means I should probably go to a team that frequents the NCAA Tournament if I want a shot at the big leagues."

Not necessarily correct thinking but what else do you expect.

I'd agree it's not correct thinking. If you're that good, you'll be noticed. Ask Michael Beasley.

Is the All Iowa Attack team an Addidas team? Just curious since it was mentioned that Harrison was headed to the Lebron Camp, which is a Nike camp. Usually you don't see kids choosing the rival shoe company's camp.

I noticed that too, but I think this was an opportunity Harrison couldn't turn down. (Exclusive camp with his favorite player.)

Just an update on the Lebron James Skills Academy. I talked with some people who were there and said Harrison is really standing out. Scoring at will from outside and driving to the basket as well.

If he continues this was for the rest of the summer he could be making a move up the ladder.
