Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

RPI confirms it. I wish ISU had a schedule as easy as Iowa's

It appears Jok is making a heck of an effort to be the next Iowa player to prove you wrong CyTwins. Seriously man you gotta stop jinxing us.

He's playing well right now. Much improved from last year. Worst case scenario I was half right since he sucked his first two years

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

ISU's next three games:

#3 KU
#10 A & M
#6 West Virg

Iowa's three after Maryland?

Northwestern
Penn St
Illinois

Their mbb season eerily like their "Fake I.D. of College Football" season

Um, are you really using a three game stretch to argue that their season is a fraud because of a weak schedule? Before that 3 game stretch they will have played #17, #20, #4, #1, #14, #4, #22, #7, and after that 3 game stretch they have 2 more against a ranked Indiana.

Both in-state schools are very good this year...not sure why a select few posters on here absolutely cannot acknowledge it.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Well, RPI confirms Iowa > ISU. The other thing is a coin toss.

Iowa has the better resume right now for sure. I still think ISU is the better team and will end up with the better season. ISU has a much higher ceiling

good thing they actually play the games. Also good the season isn't over. But if you want to play the RPI game when the season isn't over, ISU was the highest ranked during the season of the two.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Hate to admit it but winning by 1 with a 4-6 point home court advantage might actually prove that iowa is equal if not better. Lucky CSP has turned it around quickly lately.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Come on man, Woodbury is a little goofy but he's tough. Everyone hates that guy unless he's on your team. He's certainly had a solid career even if it fell short of top 50 recruit projections.

I love Woodbury and wish he was a freshman instead of a senior

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

We do tend to struggle against size but it is usually more athletic size than Purdue has. Would be an interesting game but I think we would pull it out.

Purdue's problem isn't athletic size. They've got that in spades but their guard play is wildly inconsistent.

Purdue's recruited well on the front court and that's kept them in games

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Iowa should cruise through the NCAA tournament too, with practical home games in Des Moines for the first two rounds and Chicago for the sweet 16 and elite 8. Everthing lining up perfectly for them.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

So you'd argue UNI > ISU.

UNI imploding kills ISU's RPI

I knew the ISU game was their superbowl and they'd suck after that, but didn't expect it to go 5 weeks of suckiness

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

So you'd argue UNI > ISU.

Is UNI better than UNC also?

It is clear UNI can play a few good games a year. It is also clear they are not very good right now. Iowa and ISU are good teams and both played a good game in Ames. The better team won.
