Yes, good lord. You completely missed the point and while doing so made some dumb ***, lame attempt to diminish how good those players were. Good lord. And no, Kane and Ejim were not on last year's team.
A much better team that was a legit national title contender with Kane, Ejim, Hogue, and Naz was lucky to go 11-7. Two desperation shots from 9-9.
A year ago we had the same team as now but with very good and critical players like Hogue, Naz, and BDJ. Fred did not know how to fully utilize Edozie, but he was a Big 12 big man who would be by far the best frontcourt defender and rebounder on this team. Adding a guy like him to this year's squad is adding wins.
We aren't the same team as the past few years as the poster said. Roster-wise we are not as good- certainly not as complete. Less shooters, less rebounders and guys that play defense, no guards that can create and finish, no depth, etc. We had a thin margin before, and now it is thinner. Expect, at best, a need to out-play many of our opponents, which is tough to do every game (let alone the 40 minutes some demand here) when short-handed.
So last year we had very good and critical players like Naz, Hogue and BDJ and they lost at home to Baylor? Got it
