Big 12 Embarrassing

Your good buddy HFCS is the one that is turning this into a Big 10/Big 12 thing. I could give 2 ***** about the Big 10 or how Iowa turned out. They got exposed against teams that should have exposed them if they were in fact not as good as everyone in Eastern Iowa thought and that's exactly what happened. My posts are in reference to him justifying the Big 12 not having a poor bowl season. He's unwilling to talk about that portion of it and when he does he uses the Oregon/TCU game for an example. Where both teams were decimated with injuries. That does nothing for justification that the Big 12 had a good bowl season.
One team was decimated with injuries, another had a couple guys get hurt.

See the post above? That's your post not mine. Or is the excuse that you weren't including the Big10 in your statement about "people" not being able to understand that 4 or 5 teams is no different than 3 in the Big 12?

Yeah, you replied back the Big 12 did have 3 and the Big Ten did have 4-5. Who were the 4-5?

I know you are mentally challenged, but my statement was a hypothetical anyway. Mathematically the Big 12 having 3 great teams is the same as a 14 team league having 4-5. That part isn't up for debate, it's true beyond argument for non-idiots.

Section110, the bottom line is the Big 12 is usually okay while the Big 10 is usually bad. No different this year, despite the unfavorable bowl schedule.

All-Time Major Bowls:

Big 12 138 Bowls, 67-71-0, .486 W-L%
Big 10: 257 Bowls, 116-140-1, .453 W-L%

It's impossible to predict statistically but after over 110 more games I think it's safe to say the current Big 12 would be pretty close to what the Big 10 is currently in major bowls.

Now you're going the Hypothetical route. Just give up

Here's a composite of 120 computer ratings before bowl season: http://www.masseyratings.com/cf/compare.htm

Scroll down for conference means. Bowl games wont affect the ratings any more than other weeks.

The massey matrix is a good tool but I think some years it's main value is simply showing which computer ranking has the least anomalies and then that computer ranking is the best one.

It includes human voter polls and also includes some computer models that are so horrendously bad they only serve to make the matrix worse. Still it shows enough of what we're talking about that Iowa, MSU and especially NW were all much higher with the committee than they were by averaging out dozens of other models.

How is that true?

10 teams
3 are "elite" still waiting on your idea what what constitutes as an "Elite" team

That's 30%

14 Teams
4 are "Elite"

That's 21% and Big 10 teams have to play in a Championship game which may or may not impact their chances of earning that elusive "elite" title you cannot explain.

You can use the fact that we play 1 more conference game all you want but the fact is that this year that was against Kansas. Who may or may not be one of the last ranked Division 1 football teams int he country. That's just thinking "hypothetically" though.

Now you're going the Hypothetical route. Just give up

It's not hypothetical that what I posted is 100% true.

It's hypothetical how many great teams any conference has in any year. If the Big 12 had 5 great teams, that is the same as the Big 10 having 7. If the Big 12 has 3 that is the same as the Big Ten having 4-5.

I feel like I'm teaching first grade and not getting paid.

Where do ya'll think those nice ISIS flags get manufactured and printed at? All the ones in the videos made for us to see on our corporate news channels look very professionally made. Shipped in from textile industries in Indonesia maybe?

No one is arguing about Northwestern, Iowa or Michigan State. Did the Big 12 have a good bowl year in your honest opinion? Just answer that and lets let this go. If you answer yes, then congratulations as if it's not already obvious, we have a different way of justifying things.

People just can't get that a 10 team league producing 3 elite teams is like a 14 team league producing 4 or 5.

Don't be a sunshine pumper, this was after his post saying the Big 12 had 3 Elite teams and other conferences with 14 teams having 4-5.

Nice try, sir.

No, that's not what he said. He was saying other conferences that are larger would need 4-5 Elite teams to match our 3 that we had this year in the Big 12. Seeing as Michigan State and Iowa were exposed as extremely average teams when they finally had to play good teams with no significant excuses of injuries or suspension then that conclusively exposes that the Big 10 only had 1 Elite team this year, Ohio State, Mr. Sunshine Pumper.

Once again another argument I wasn't having with you. Until you explain how you justify a team as "Elite" your argument has nothing.

Uhhh, isn't that just what you did in your two posts? The Big XII hasn't been around as long as the B1G, so you are theorizing what would happen after 110 more bowl games for the Big XII. Perhaps YOU should give up!!

And had he worded it this way originally I would have completely agreed with him. I never said that Iowa or Michigan State were elite teams. But if he's saying there's 3 elite teams in the Big 12 this year and that the Big 12 had a great bowl season I would respectfully disagree.
