Big 12 Embarrassing

Can we do a poll for this thread to see how many people agree with:

Not getting into the middle of this fight but just wanted to point out that Vernon Adams is probably just as good as Boyken. During the season, the Ducks were 2-3 when he was out/playing hurt and 7-0 when he was healthy. Some scouting services have him rated as a higher draft pick at qb.

Have to agree the Ducks with Adams are one of the best teams in the country, further proving it by winning at Stanford in November. Losing him and the center were a disaster for them. But a healthy TCU is also one of the best teams in the country and if it weren't for injuries to game changing qb's this could have been a play-off game.

Somebody who wakes up today and puts NW, Iowa and Wisconsin as elite knows nothing about college football, example is our friend here.

Boykin is the 20th best passing quarterback in the country. That's statistically speaking, that's based off facts, truths, what really happened. Not what one homer is imagining. So to say he's likely the best quarterback in the country is quite a stretch.

Do you want facts on your hawkeyes? Why was their defense 'so good'? HEre are the teams Iowa faced this year and their offensive ranks per NCAA website.

Iowa faced on average the 79th ranked offense in the country for the season. See who was #3? If anyone watched ISU play you know the offense was not very good. When ISU and Iowa played Lanning was not the starter, Warren was thrid string and Mangino was still the OC. Sadly you could argue that Richardson was the 4th best QB Iowa faced behind Lundt, Suddfeld and Cook. Richardson was not even the best QB on ISU's roster.

And my whole point is look at how the committee ranking was so off from that reality. The computer models were much better this season. You're telling me the top 15 is loaded with Big Ten teams all over the place (5) and the SEC and Big 12 combined only 4?

We need a new committee makeup.

Oh yeah, Wisonconsin's first win vs. a team with a winning record was against a USC team that finished 8-6? and fired/hired a coach in the season.

It's called Cyclone Fanatic, therefor the majority of the people are going to side with the Big 12 point of view. I'd say close to 100% actually. I'm still waiting to hear his definition of an elite team.

Please tell me or copy and paste where I said any of those 3 teams are "Elite" teams.

I'll hang up and listen until you can actually justify the things saying I posted or said about the Big 10.

Well you're one of us right, so I assume you'll be voting with us.

No instead you're defending "#13" Northwestern's blowout loss and pretending they are elite when they aren't even top 40 in Sagarin.

I'm waiting for you to explain why/how Iowa was or is an elite team.

Yeah, the system isn't that much better than the BCS. In fact, the BCS would have gotten us the same championship game. Need to move to 8 teams with 5 auto bids to the power 5 conference winners, 1 to top G5 team and then 2 at large bids.

Your good buddy HFCS is the one that is turning this into a Big 10/Big 12 thing. I could give 2 ***** about the Big 10 or how Iowa turned out. They got exposed against teams that should have exposed them if they were in fact not as good as everyone in Eastern Iowa thought and that's exactly what happened. My posts are in reference to him justifying the Big 12 not having a poor bowl season. He's unwilling to talk about that portion of it and when he does he uses the Oregon/TCU game for an example. Where both teams were decimated with injuries. That does nothing for justification that the Big 12 had a good bowl season.

Where did I originally say that? Please find it rookie.

You were the one who posted that the Big 12 had 3 and that the Big 10/SEC had 4-5. Not me.

The problem for league perception (outside of having almost no representation on CFP committee) continues to be two things.

-OU and Texas not coming through the way Alabama and Ohio State come through.
-Math. People just can't get that a 10 team league producing 3 elite teams is like a 14 team league producing 4 or 5. The top of the conference really wasn't the problem this year, it was the bottom and middle that were a little down. KSU, Tech, ISU...those are the teams that underperformed if you look at some more objective metrics.

See the post above? That's your post not mine. Or is the excuse that you weren't including the Big10 in your statement about "people" not being able to understand that 4 or 5 teams is no different than 3 in the Big 12?

The Big 12 was favored in 2 bowls and won 3. I think that qualifies as a "good" bowl season.

If you want to hang your hat on the Big 10 winning 2 major bowl games and a bunch of the lower level Big 10 teams beating Western Eastern Michigan Tech State, then good for you.

The facts are that the top 5 Big 10 teams went 2-3 in their bowl games. And the 3 losses were embarrassments.

What Iowa fans like you don't seem to understand is that the Big 10 should have more bowl wins than the Big 12. Because the Big 10 has 4 more teams.
