I dont see how people just have conceded to and have so much faith in TJ. Just because big (perceived) name coaches don't want to come here? That's like being mad a few hot chicks turned you down even though they are in solid relationships. So instead of not taking ANY rejection anymore you just settle for the chick who tutored you in math just because she said yeah and hung around.

EMAW is a ****.

Fair enough... But laughing at the notion of talking to a conference foe of the job he really wants... I guess maybe. KSU is a dumpster fire right now so I suppose Underwood's confidence in eventual anoinment to the job he really wants could be that high.

If we can't have Hornacek, and Altman isn't excited about it, I think I'd have to get behind Team TJ at this point. I worry that we purposely mucked up the Hornacek situation to end it quickly, but I really don't care at this point. I also worried that has been "orchestrated" to settle down the fanbase to just accept TJ. But really, who wants to jump ship at this point in the off-season? I think Holberg honestly was in on this transition as well to "help out" TJ to ultimately get selected.

If TJ can come in and get a solid assistant coach with some head coaching experience on his bench, I'd be all for that. I think if TJ can get us deep in the tourney next year, people won't give a crap about his experience and he should be able to sell his connections to the big leagues anyway to some JUCO transfers. If TJ can't go far next year, then I think Pollard and TJ could and should be on the hot seat. But I remember people saying that about bring our golden boy Hoiberg back to Iowa State to coach and the "what if he fails?" scenario. People wanted Pollard gone too if Holberg didn't pan out.

I kind of think Jeremy's lineup of call outcomes was kind of in jest in that post (but maybe not?)...

I think TJ would be good. The guys on the team seem to really connect with him. With our roster next year, we should have another very good season. If this happens, TJ can use this to sell to recruits on what he did in his first year. While we lose a lot after next year, but we'll still be returning guys like Burton, Cooke, Thomas, Noskowiak, maybe Monte? (not counting on it though). So while we lose a lot, we'll still have some pieces, and while a lot of those guys are unproven at this point, they certainly have the potential to be very good players. I think if TJ gets the gig and starts his career with a couple of successful seasons, recruiting won't be much of a problem. I don't know, I'm just trying to be optimistic I guess

Bryce Drew, Brad Underwood, Steve Prohm among candidates to replace Hoiberg at Iowa State, interviews this weekend: http://es.pn/1FvcF0c

I'm starting to think that it is going to be someone other than the ones mentioned in the article. Wondering what the odds of the "surprise" candidate that Jeremy mentioned actually being interested and us taking him are..

Then I think it's "just" going to be TJ and this is all to make it seem like we were actually looking at other candidates when Pollard knew it was going to be TJ all along (which I am fine with by the way).

Monte stays and Burton explodes is the dream scenario. I'm not sleeping on Burton.

I've picked my horse: #TeamDrew

i still think he won't voach in the same conference as his brother, but I think he will be a big time coach.

Hire them based on how easily their name turns into an Applebees pun.

Otzelburger is obviously the clubhouse leader.
