Sutton fired at OSU

Wow...didn't see that coming.

Although its been rumored that Boone didn't really like Sean and the mediocracy he brought to Stillwater.

Isn't it kind of jumping the gun in OSU's part I mean come on his dad is a legend and you give his son two years Eddie's last year wasn't anything to jump over the moon about just an NIT birth. Come on OSU you are no UNC DUKE or Kansas chicken-crap move on your part now be mediocre for another two to three years with a new coach new players new system.

Eddie brought mediocrity to Stillwater????? Two final four trips is pretty solid, if you ask me.

Sean, on the other hand, has had some issues. He's got two McD All-Americans on the roster, i believe. This team should have been better.

So I guess a couple of Final Four berths and conference championships, high seeds in the tourney are mediocre now? Wow....I would hate to see what the new definition of just plain awful is.

Maybe he meant Sean?

I thought he had saved his job for 1 more year with their strong finish (minus the 1st round bump in the NIT).
I did too. They improved a lot over the course of the season, and even knocked off a team that was no. 2 in the country at the time. (KU)

It would be hilarious if Self left for OSU. Especially if KU wins the title and he bolts. Simply hilarious.

OSU is Self’s Alma Mater...he left Kansas as as assistant coach to take the same position at OSU in the 1980's.

Roy Williams left Kansas for his Alma Mater; it would not surprise me to see it happen again, especially for the kind of money that has been discussed here...

I thought late in the season they were playing way over their talent level. Must have been a Wayne Morgan-type deal where the AD and booster(s) just didn't like the direction of the program.

Whoops...I meant Sean.

Quite true, yet it would still be damn funny. It would send Jayhawk nation into a tailspin.

More complete hypothetical thoughts...

Would it cause Appleton to reconsider? :)
