My problem is I'm getting to the point where I no longer care. That's worse for this program than passionate that want a new coach. i am getting to the point where I won't make time for Cyclone football anymore.

No, I think as far as FB goes JP understands this process will take some time and right now BB is helping buy that time. I think CPR brings in a new DC (Wally will retire) after this season and we see some improvement there just like we have on offense. At least, I hope so.
It will take time, though.
If the coaching staff resigned today, and we replaced them with really good coaches tomorrow, we would not see very much improvement until the new staff could bring in solid D-1 talent.
I feel terrible writing that, but it seems clear.
Yeah...overall he's a complete failure at coaching hires. Hoiberg's his greatest success. And then XC. And volleyball. But thats absolutely it.
Here's some more reality. If ISU were playing Iowa's schedule right now, we'd be 6-2, possibly even 7-1, and everyone would be freaking out that we're going to lose Rhoads. The answer isn't firing Rhoads. That only sets the program back another 5 years. The answer is for ISU to keep supporting him as much as possible and giving him everything he needs to keep building this program.
Being in a power 5 conference and with the renovations and the support this fan base puts in even though we suck, jeez there has got to be an up n comer chomping at the bit to get this opportunity to showcase his abilities and make at least 2 million in the process.
I recall thinking how impressive NDSU's Chris Klie???? was in his debut as a head coach last August. Only 10 starters back, a new QB, all new assistants, and the Bison came out of the gates and beat the tar out of the Cyclones. And Klie???? is an Iowa native, from Waterloo.
Overall, Pollard is an elite AD. He brings in the money and improves facilities. But he has a very difficult time finding good coaches.
This argument only looks OK if ISU is losing by one score to decent teams instead of getting rolled. Otherwise it's tired and borderline stupid. They might be something like .500, but they're not consistent enough from game to game for me to think they'd be a whole lot better. Also, with a better record and weaker schedule, they're still not good.
Give Iowa credit- they have systems thst they stick with and are typically real fundamental. Those things lead to room for mprovement, and it looks like they are.
I like Klie too, and would like to get him. But I don't think beating the tar out of cyclones should be considered all that impressive!
Still undefeatedIs NDSU still top ranked, or has it faltered? I don't have a clue how the Bison have done since leaving Ames. I'll look it up right now. Let's see . . . 9-0 heading into Saturday's game at UNI. Interesting. Doesn't mean Klie???? would have any interest in ISU, of course.
